Brayering: Glossy card stock is great for backgrounds and wonderful for using your brayer. Ink your brayer by running it over a multicolor DYE inkpad then roll your brayer onto your cardstock repeatedly.

*HINT* If you find that you get "lines" or "spaces" when brayering - lightly spritz with water then brayer over again. Be sure to do this while you ink is still moist. This will give you are smoother look.

*HINT* Try using “sunset” dye inks colors for sunset backgrounds for scenic stamping, etc.

VersaMark and Pearl Ex: After finishing your brayered piece as shown above, stamp images of your choice with a VersaMark inkpad. Using a soft paint brush add mica pigment powders (Pearl Ex, Powdered Pearls, Fairy Dust, etc) Let dry for a few minutes and gently wipe cardstock with a soft tissue.

*HINT* Do not RUB powder into your ink - just lightly tap it on.

*Hint* SOFTLY wipe away the excess powder - do not rub hard or it will take off your powder. Use soft tissue (like facial tissue without lotion.)

Pigment powdered used above: Gold, Sparkle Gold and Blue

I also like to seal my work, to prevent any powder from rubbing off. I have had great success using aerosol hairspray. However, a product like Krylon Art Fixative is a better solution.
