Masking Technique

Masking is a great way to have an image appear to be behind another, collage images or make great backgrounds.

Supplies
:

Cardstock

Rubber Stamp

Inkpad

Scissors
Masking Medium (text weight paper, post-it notes, etc)

Rubber stamp donated by About Art Accents

Basic Directions:

1. Stamp your image onto your masking medium. (I used regular text weight paper.)

2. Cut your image out, cut just a tiny bit smaller than the image lines to avoid a "cloud" or "halo" effect.  See Picture 1
Finish Masking Image; Stamped and Cut Out  

3. Stamp one image onto cardstock. This will be your main image.

4. Cover your main image with your masking medium image. See Picture 2

5. Stamp another another image OVER your your masking image. See Picture 3

6. Repeat as many times as you wish. See Picture 4

7. Layer as desired to finish your card. Finished Piece
