Quick and
Creative Cards ~ Fall Leaves
|
Fall Web by Bernardine Farmer
The webbing is in the ribbon department found at
craft stores. I found this spool at Hobby Lobby. It will stretch out
about as far as I have shown it. It looks a bit like fish netting on
a role.
Fold forest green cardstock in half for a 4” x
8-1/4” card.
Using Penny Black Fall Leaf #1, randomly color the stamp with
yellow, red and brown Marvy markers. Spritz stamp with water 4 times
and then stamp onto cream cardstock. Do this three times.
Tear around the leaves in a roughly square shape. Slide edges
through a gold stamp pad and dip into Ranger gold embossing powder.
Heat to emboss.
Cut a strip of webbing 7” x 3 ½”. Using 1/4” strips of avocado
green, maroon, sienna and brown cardstock, weave a random pattern
through the webbing. Leave long edges past the webbing to help glue
webbing to card front.
Arrange leaves in pattern, tucking under woven strips. Glue in
place.
Flip webbing over and apply Zot Adhesive Dots to the backs of the
leaves. Apply glue onto paper that is exposed. Flip over and attach
to card front. Trim off any overhanging strips. |
Autumn
by Cheryl Rotnem
1. Cut brown cardstock to A2 size and fold. Next, cut brown swirls
scrapbook paper just about 1/8- 1/4" smaller than cardstock front. Glue
down.
2. Cut a bronze or copper metallic cardstock about 4 3/4" X 3" , using a
Coluzzle, cut an oval in the bronze/copper cardstock to about 3 1/2" X 2
1/2".
3. Cut another piece of vanilla cardstock to fit under the bronze/copper
and stamp leaves in the oval cut out, using various colors of autumn; ruby
red, old olive, forest green, really rust, more mustard and close to
cocoa. ( Stampin' Up!)
4. Last, stamp on a piece of scrap cardstock the word "Autumn" in really
rust stipple with VersaMark ink pad and then take a small soft brush to
put on pearl ex powder in copper blaze. Use a corner rounder to round
corner of this word.

Resist
Leaves by Wendy KerrWith clear ink, stamp the leaf
(Stampendous) several times onto cream cardstock; emboss with clear
embossing powder.
Stipple with die ink. Wipe ink off of embossed leaves.
Cut cream cardstock into three 1-1/2" x 3-1/4" pieces.
Use Krylon gold pen around the edges of the three cream colored
pieces; attach cream pieces to black pieces using double stick tape.
Center the three pieces to the copper cardstock; attach with tape.
Attach the copper panel to the black folded card. |

Maple
Leaves by Lis Whiting
Create a dark
brown card for your base. Take a slightly lighter color brown (5" x
3-3/4") and outline in gold. Take two ribbons and glue to the right
side of the card. Punch out four tags and add eyelets in brown.
Outline each tag in gold and stamp each with a word.
Emboss four
maple leaves [Serendipity Stamps] with Red Dragon Embossing Powder
[Stampin’ Stuff]. (Note: This embossing powder is extraordinarily
beautiful. It is a reddish orange and is very sparkly. The picture
does not do it justice. I found it in Mainely Stampin’ in
Fairfield, California.) Serendipity Stamps has created some of
their stamps (like the maple leaf that I used) to be the same size
as the McGill punches. This card goes very fast because you can
punch out the leaves after you’ve embossed them! The result is
gorgeous!
Glue your
embossed leaves on the left side and the tags on the right side and
you’re done! |
Swirling
Leaves by Robin Smalley
Brayer Kaleidacolor Autumn Leaves ink onto white cardstock. Ink
stamps (Stampin’ Up Fantastic Foliage) with pigment ink and stamp
onto cardstock. Emboss with ultra fine clear powder. Punch corners
and attach to a black layer and then layer onto a pumpkin colored
card. |
Wild
and Wonderful Wishes by Annette Lanker
Starting with a full sheet of glossy white cardstock, stamp the leaf
images (CC Rubber Works) randomly over the page alternating between
the Oak Leaf and Maple Leaf stamps using a VersaMark inkpad. Allow
to dry and then brayer over the entire sheet using a multicolor
inkpad (I used the Kaleidacolor Birthstone pad). This will allow the
leaf images to pop through creating a fun background paper. Then use
a Wordsworth Wild Cards template to create your card. I bordered the
window with red pepper cardstock and stamped the Wordsworth
sentiment: "Wild and Wonderful Wishes" in the window. This card will
fit into a #10 envelope or you can create a matching envelope using
the included Wild Cards template. |

Fall Leaf by Wendy Kerr
Run a leaf through a
Xyron machine and attach it diagonally to a 4 x 4 inch piece of rust
colored cardstock. Use an embossing
marker to color in parts of the cardstock, add heat and stick
powder, heat, then add multi-colored foil leafing. Take a VersaMark
inkpad and tap it all over the cardstock, avoid getting any on the
leaf. With a soft paintbrush add Bronze, Gold and Rust Pearl Ex.
Spray with a sealant. Mount as shown. |
Golden
Leaves by Robin Smalley
Stamp leaves (Stampin' Up Fantastic Leaves) with VersaMark ink onto green
layer and then emboss with ultra fine gold embossing powder.
Stamp sentiment (Hero Arts) with Brilliance Black Pigment Ink and
emboss with clear ultra fine embossing powder onto a piece of
vellum.
Secure vellum with brads to green layer and then place onto a golden
card. |
