Directions:

1. Paint 4” square wrapped canvas with white gesso. Allow to dry.

2. Add drops of Golden’s acrylic paint (blue/green/magenta) along left edge of canvas. Take a ruler or straight edge, and pull the line of paint across the canvas. Use a brush to touch up any bare spots. Paint the four sides of the canvas in one of the colors used on the face. Allow to dry.

3. Use a craft iron to spread beeswax on front and sides of canvas.

4. Stamp “Ornament of Love” (Lila’s Divine Play line from www.amstamps.com) onto white tissue paper using black ink. Apply beeswax to back of stamped image. Place image on front of square. Use hot iron to melt wax around outside edge of image. Avoid melting wax on face as tissue paper will become completely transparent.

5. Touch up sides of canvas using a dry brush and blue Pearl Ex pigment. This can also be done to scattered areas of front of canvas. Apply a thin layer of wax to cover.

6. Condition a small amount of green polymer clay. Add some waste clay inclusions in different colors and mix to swirl. Dust a small amount of gold Pearl Ex pigment into a Krafty Lady Ginkgo Leaf mold and press polymer clay into mold. Unmold clay ginkgo leaf. Make a second leaf in the same way and bake for approximately 20 minutes at 265 degrees F. Let cool.

7. Glue ginkgo leaves to canvas using E6000 glue.
