Leaf Card by Karen Bourke
Take four small pieces of glossy cardstock and using a clear embossing pad
stamp a different background onto each card. Rubber Stamps used are from
Rubber Stampede, Inkadinkado, Hero Arts and All Night Media. Dry
thoroughly with a heat gun.
Use Adirondack dye inks to stain each card a different colour. When dry
trim each into 1” x 5” pieces and attach, with double sided tape, to a
piece of 4” x 5” cardstock.
Lay the cardstock so the strips are horizontal and cut strips of varying
widths, either by hand or using a paper trimmer, making sure you keep them
in order. Form the base of the card with black cardstock and cut a strip
each of cream and purple card approximately 1” wide and 1 ¾” wide to
attach to the right hand side of the front of the card.
Mount your strips onto your main card starting at the left hand edge and
working across, staggering the heights of each strip and overlapping the
added purple card.
Cut three rectangles, 1 ¾” x 3”, from the black, cream and purple card and
glue together. Add to main card with double sided tape. Tie a purple
ribbon to a gold metal leaf and attach to the front of the rectangles. Add
any further embellishments that you wish.
