Stampscapes Diorama Card by Linda Strawn


1. To make card front, cut a piece of glossy cardstock 5-3/4” x 8-3/4”

2. Score a vertical line on the right and left hand vertical edge 3/4” and another 1 1/2”, these will be measured from the edges. Fold edges.

3. With remaining space, mark 1” all around to form a rectangle and cut out. See Picture 1


4. For the card inside cut another piece of glossy 5-3/4” x 8-3/4” and mark score lines the same as in piece #1 but do not cut out center. Just mark lightly with a pencil where window is.

5. With Adirondack eggplant ink, ink Rocky peaks #188F from Stampscapes (www.stampscapes.com), add touches of Adirondack denim to stamp and stamp image at the top of this window.

6. With black ink, stamp #049G lakeside cove so the treetops come to the bottom of the mountain.

7. Using Adirondack pesto, butterscotch, and bottle ink up #254 tall grass and stamp this stamp all around trees, up the mountain, and to the edge of the cove. See Picture 1


8. Cut a mask for the mountains and cover ( See Picture 2
)
and stamp in black ink #108G cloud with sun. Stamp this just above the mountains.

9. Carefully color the scene, see finished picture for coloring.

10. Using the piece of glossy with the window cut out, glossy side up, stamp in black along the left side #078 spruce tree large, and along the right side stamp in black #267 Pines and rocks sm. See Picture 3


11. Using pesto, bottle, and butterscotch stamp tall grass #254B all up the sides where trees and mountain edges are, See Picture 4


12. In black on the very bottom of frame stamp lakeside cove so most of what you see will be the water and just a bit of the rocks.

13. On top of frame in black stamp clouds, also add a few clouds to the sides of frame. See Picture 4


14. Color this trying to match colors used on inside piece.

15. When colored, stamp crane in h20 #163A in center bottom of frame, and a few cattails #016B along bottom. At top in black on frame stamp 097E crooked limb. See finished picture to see detail.

16. Last ink #092 water pattern in denim ink tap excess off on scrap paper and stamp water on both pieces.

17. To assemble diorama: add double stick tape to scored edges and fit together to form a frame box. See Picture 5
. For mailing just fold one edge toward the middle, the other edge will adjust to lay flat for mailing.
