Bargello
Tile by Daylene Strickland
For this card 3 colors/patterns were chosen. A solid purple cardstock;
decorative paper (by K&Company); hand painted/stamped cardstock. For
painted cardstock, brush Folk Art Metallic Periwinkle & Metallic Pearl
White across cardstock and allow to dry. Stamp script image (Stamp in the
Hand) using archival dark purple ink (Ranger).
Follow similar instructions for making Bargello strips. When layering
strips on light purple cardstock use removable sticky line tape as guide
for spacing. Layer light purple sheet on slightly larger sage green; then
on dark purple card. Trim a diamond shape from leftover green cardstock
and accent edges with purple ink. Wrap triangle with wire and adhere to
card. Trim tile shape from decorative paper; glue to piece of scrap
cardstock to stabilize. Apply thin layer of Diamond Glaze. Once dry,
adhere to card.
Tip: If double-sided adhesive is not available, a flat-sided small
paintbrush and slightly watered down glue work very well to apply strips.
