Postage Box (Transfer) by Becky Chabot

This Month's Sponsor:

1. Start with a natural wood box with a lid. Sample shows a 2-1/2" box with 3” lid.

2. Apply Tim Holtz Weathered Wood and Peeled Paint Distressing Inks sporadically and random to all wood surfaces by pouncing the inkpad directly to the project. Spritz with water to mute and blend.

3. Stamp all four sides of the box with Vickie Enkoff’s Dream Text Background stamp (V32) using Décor it® black ink.

4. Pounce random spots of Perfect Pearls® Turquoise, Sunflower and Green Patina without muting the text too much, blend edges around the spots. Apply Perfect Pearls® to the lid as well. Spritz with water to set, let dry then seal with matte spray sealant.

5. Squirt drops of Posh Metallic Inks (Blue, Teal & Green) onto glossy white cardstock then roll with a rubber brayer to completely cover cardstock. Let dry completely.

6. Stamp Vicki Enkoff’s Butterfly Postal image (V91) with Décor it® black ink onto white copy paper. Cut the image out and place face down onto the glossy cardstock.

7. Following the instructions for Stewart Superior’s Transfer Ink®, soak a cotton ball with the transfer ink and pounce it onto the back of the white copy paper, then rub gently to remove the paper while leaving the inked image transferred onto the new surface.

8. Spray with sealant and let dry. Cut out the transfer image on metallic glossy cardstock with decorative stipple scissors and glue to the lid of the wood box.

9. Pounce around the edges of the paper with Perfect Medium® and apply random spots of pounced Perfect Pearls® to mute the edges of the cut out image. Spritz with water to set, let dry and spray with sealant.
