"Out of the Box Cards"

Floral Creations

Sparkle Lily by Heather Taylor

Sponge ColorBox Fluid Chalk Yellow Citrus & Lime Pastel inks on a 1/4-sheet of medium weight vellum. Dry, then stamp Penny Black lily in VersaMark; emboss in clear. Sponge Warm Red & Violet Chalk inks over top, then iron under a sheet of newsprint to remove the embossing.

Re-paint the inside of the lily with Ph. Martin calligraphy inks (I mixed Sparkling Yellow with Red for the flower, and with Green for the stem & leaves). Dry, then using a diamond-pattern stamp (mine was hand-carved), stamp with Black StazOn on the reverse of the vellum. This produces a nice pattern in the same shades as the chalk inks on the front.

Layer with coordinating vellum on top of cardstock, and affix two green metallic brads.
Daisy Topiary by Viki Banaszak

Fold a blue card stock in half for the base of your card. Stamp Daisy background (unknown) on white cardstock in black dye ink and color the centers of the daisy’s yellow with colored pencils. Trim the edges of the background with a scalloped paper edger’s. Add a strip of left over blue cardstock to the left side of the background. Make it just slightly larger than the topiary stamp.
Stamp the topiary stamp (Inkadinkado) on white cardstock in black dye ink and color with pencils. Attach over the blue strip with pop dots or foam tape.
Punch out 14 white daisy’s and attach two together with a dot of white glue. Use a stylus to press down the flowers in the center. Use a tiny flower punch to create a yellow center for each flower. Use your stylus to press the center of each yellow flower. Dab some silicone glue in the center of your white flowers and gently attach the puffed up yellow flower. Allow to dry. Punch out small oak leaves from green cardstock and add them to the flowers as desired. Attach each flower in place on the topiary with a dab of white glue.
