Twinkling Grape Cluster by Linda Strawn

On White cardstock using black ink, stamp grape cluster from Magenta stamps, #09165-Q

Using a small paintbrush and water, prepare several jars of twinkling h20’s from LuminArte by dropping a few drops of water in the paint pot and stirring it to bring up the color. I used the following colors Royal orchid, blushing rose, ginger flower, wine and roses, French lilac, sweet thistle, razzleberry, and wild blueberry, for the leaves, mustard green, kiwi, copper penny, lemon drop, jasper red.

Start by dipping small paintbrush into wild blueberry and color several of the grapes, try and space them out so you have a few blue grapes thru the bunch, repeat using the other purples and reds. To deepen colors go back over the grape with a fresh dipped brush. Make sure you clean your brush off if you are going to a new shade of color.

For the leaves start by adding Lemmon drop on the very edges, then stroke in a bit of copper, finish off by adding mustard green and kiwi. See Picture 1
for the coloring of the grapes and leaves.

When dry, cut out and set aside.

To make background matt use a fluffy brush and black glossy cardstock, dip tip of brush in met. Olive green Lumiere paint from US Artquest and pounce onto black glossy cardstock, repeat with Met Russet paint. (See Picture 2)
 Set aside to dry.

Using Glue stick, glue grape cluster to background, cut background close to grape cluster.

Using Paper Glaze from Aleene’s add dimension and highlight to grapes by outlining grapes, also fill in a few of the grapes completely. Let dry.

When dry, poke 2 small holes right by the grape leaves and thread thru a piece of green wire on each side. Secure with tape on the backside. Curl wire around a paintbrush handle to make tendrils.

Matt the grape cluster onto a lavender matt

Matt lavender matt onto a plaid card.

Cut several strands of purple fibers and glue to top left corner of card, onto of fibers glue a grape cluster paper charm available from Amy’s Magic.

To finish off add a Best Friends Bar from All My Memories.
