Framed Autumn Leaves by Daylene Strickland

Using any size, shape or color photo mat will work for this project because the back of the mat is what was used. A 5” x 7” oval shape is what was on hand and the white smooth side is what was desired for painting.

Step 1
Stipple Radiant Pearls in a random fashion starting from light to dark blending colors along the way. Add more color as needed in areas to achieve desired results. Colors used for this project are Sour Lemon, Fresh Moss, Marchino and in the next step Heavenly Bamboo. (See Picture 1)



Step 2
Using stipple brush paint Heavenly Bamboo Radiant Pearls color on a damp sea sponge (wring out all the wet moisture). Dab sponge over the top of frame to add glisten.

Step 3
Stamp choice of leaf stamps all around frame using Crafter’s Ink. Stamps used for this project are leaf print by All Night Media; 2 larger leaves by Rubber Stampede. Crafter’s Ink colors are Canary, Cranberry, Hunter Green, Brown, and Scarlet. Glue gold cording around center and add “memories” charm at top. (See Picture 2)


Add picture and frame it.
