Stripe Spray Adhesive Card by Steph Schirmer

Supplies:
white cardstock
Spray Adhesive
moonglows, pearl ex or fairy dust powders complimentary color cardstock for card
strips of sold cardstock in complimentary colors of powders used brush
eyelets
vellum
black StazOn pad
saying stamp
Xyron, tape, paper cutter

Take the white cardstock and spray with spray adhesive. Then take which ever powders you have and with a brush apply them to the sprayed cardstock. Apply as much as you want till you have the color combination you want then you are done.

With the paper cutter...cut the decorated piece into all sizes of strips and make sure you have solid strips that compliment the colors you used and they can be cut into different sizes of strips too.

Take a piece of white cardstock and run thru the Xyron then start with a spray adhesive strip lay it across then a solid and repeat this process until the whole card is covered. When done trim off excess. Attach to complimentary color cardstock with double sided tape.

Take a piece of vellum and stamp the word or saying on it and let dry. Punch the holes for eyelets to go thru and then attach vellum with eyelets to front of card.

This again is a very easy technique. The first example was done on black cardstock this one is done on white. Two completely different looks using the same technique. With the strips card you can do any pattern with them. This is a great technique to use for those strips you cut off cards have a bag and just throw them in there. Then when you need some strips you have them. You can also decorated the plain strips with inks and stamps. The original strip card I did was done with inks and stamps and I learned that from Nathalie of Magenta. This one was the result of just playing one day and came up with this...again this can be done in any color combination themed or not. The possibilities are endless...enjoy

Supplies:
black cardstock
spray adhesive
pearl ex powder, moonglows, fairy dust your choice brushes
eyelets, charms, fibers
complimentary cardstock to colors of powders you use on card back ground stamp
gold pigment ink pad

Take and spray the black piece of cardstock with spray adhesive. let dry...then take which ever powder you have pearl ex, moonglows, fairy dust and with a brush start brushing color over the cardstock...little goes a long way...once you are satisfied with the color then you are done...

In the card I did...I used black cardstock, moonglows...I took a piece of green cardstock and stamped a background stamp all over the card...then I punched four holes and used black eyelets to affix it to the card.....add a charm and fiber.

This technique is so easy. This is a simple way of making background for cards, books, anything. The color combinations you can come up with are endless. You can do them all in one color or multiple colors. They work great by themselves or as layering for cards. I love the simplicity of this technique...if i don't feel like doing a lot these make simple cards. This can be done on either dark cardstock or light and the effects are both so different. I make up sheets ahead of time to have on hand when i need a quick card. I learned this technique in a class with Brenda Ambrosino.
