Theme: "Women in My Life"

GRAND Mother by Kelly Waters-Brzezicki

~ Featured Project ~

Stamps: Celebrate saying by Just for Fun, Rose by Stampin’ Up!
Ink: Artichoke Pigment Ink
Paper: Anna Griffin patterned papers, Artichoke, Red, Vellum from Club Scrap, Watercolor Paper
Accessories: Red, Brown, and Artichoke Markers, Lace Stickers by Mrs. Grossman’s, Notch and Die Tool by BasicGrey, Xyron adhesive machine, Water Brush

Directions:
1. Color rose stamp with Red, Brown, and Artichoke markers. Huff stamp and stamp image on watercolor paper. Use water brush to “color” the rose image. Heat with heat gun.

2. Attach rose to red paper. Make sure the right side of the paper has a larger border. Attach Mrs. Grossman’s lace sticker on right side of red paper.

3. Attach 5 x 7 photo to patterned paper and leave about a half-inch border around it. Attach to red paper leaving only a small border. Then attach to coordinating pattern paper and leave a slightly larger border than the red. Attach all to an artichoke 8 ½ x 11 sheet of cardstock by leaving a small border in the upper left hand corner. Trim the right side leaving only a small amount of artichoke border that is the same as the left and top.

4. Stamp celebrate stamp on vellum. Attach to a patterned piece of paper using the Notch and Die Tool from BasicGrey. Attach smaller Mrs. Grossman’s lace sticker just below the framed picture. Attach patterned paper with celebrate stamp to bottom portion of the artichoke paper.

5. Print title on vellum in green ink in the Scriptina font (found free on the internet). Attach to patterned 12 x 12 paper by running through a Xyron machine.

6. Attach photo frame and rose.

Beautiful Mother By Daylene Strickland

1) Dip one tip of water brush in Fern Twinkling H20 and other side in Blue Flame H20 and apply with a large swoosh motion creating a wash on watercolor paper. (Using water brush continue to water down the image until desired coloring is attained.)

2) Stamp flower with charcoal or gray ink. (Penny Black) Clean stamp and paint with Red, Gold, Fern and Jade Twinkling H20’s. Mist and stamp slightly askew over charcoal image to create shadow. Stamp positioner may be helpful. When paper is dry, tear paper to desired size and layer on red cardstock background.

3) Apply trimmed sheet of double-sided adhesive to small acrylic frame (Paperbilities by Westrim Crafts). Remove backing and paint with Jade H20. (A damp sea sponge may be used after paint brush to remove brush lines). Apply Glossy Accents around inside edges and add micro gold beads.

4) Add computer generated saying and cord. Secure to cardstock with red line tape. Add journaling quote with eyelets and cord. Layer photo and add charm.

Mom Gave me Wings Scrapbook Page by Lis Whiting

1. Use a 12 x 12 inch aqua piece of cardstock for your basic layout.

2. Choose a piece of scrapbook paper with a bird theme and coordinated in blue/aqua colors. Cut out two strips: 1-1/2 inch wide and 1 inch wide.

3. Attach the two strips to the bottom of your page. The 1-1/2 inch wide piece should go at the bottom about 1/4 inch from the bottom edge. The thinner piece should go above the wider piece and about 1/4 inch from it.

4. Take a piece of coordinating ribbon (1/4 inch wide aqua with brown dots) and cut a length about 10-11 inchs. Glue this about 1/8 inch from the thinner strip, starting on the left side of the page.

5. Take a second strip of ribbon about 7 inches and glue this at the top about 3/4 inch from the top edge starting at the right side.

6. Bevel the ends of both ribbons that show on the page.

7. Rubber stamp a photo corner onto all four corners of the page in Black dye ink [Marvy] with Hero Arts photo corner stamp.

8. Cut a dark aqua/green piece of cardstock to 4 x 6 and mat it with gold glossy 4 1/8 x 6 1/8. Mount this onto your page on the left side (see photo for reference).

9. Take some of the same paper you used for the strips and cut out the letters for WINGS. Mount these letters (3 inch) starting on the left upper part of the page.

10. Take some beige paper with gold accents and cut out circles (2-1/2 inch) and cut out letters in the middle of them to spell out “Mom gave me”. Mount these letters at the bottom of the page.

11. Take some gold glitter glue and fill in the letters outlines in the circles at the bottom. Outline the “W” in wings.
