“Domino and Bottle Cap Necklace” Book” by Stephanie Loomis

All the stamps used in this project are sponsored by
Lasting Impressions with Panache
http://www.lasimppan.com

1. Stamp a pre-drilled domino with the patterned part of a kimono image using Palette Noir ink (Stewart Superior) and heat set

2. Color carefully with Sharpie markers. Sprinkle black embossing powder to add texture and heat.

3. Wrap domino edges with 1/4” O’So Sticky tape (Penny Wise Arts) and add lavender microbeads (PWA) Set aside. (See Picture 2)

4. Flatten four bottle caps (I use a Sizzix machine by Ellison, but a rubber mallet works just fine.)

5. Using a nail and hammer, punch holes in opposing sides of the bottle cap rims.

6. Stamp the circle portion of the kimono image onto origami paper (Aitoh). Use a 1” punch to punch out circles.

7. Use scraps of O’So Sticky tape (PWA) to secure punched circles to the interior of bottle caps.

8. Punch circles (1”) of O’So Sticky Paperback Tape (PWA) and place over images. (Paperback tape is less likely to gum up the punch.)

9. Top tape with clear mini microbeads (PWA) (See Picture 3)

10. Add jump rings to the holes punched in the bottle caps. Create bottle cap pairs using jump rings.

11. Cut a 6” length of pink 24 gauge wire (Parawire) Thread through domino.

12. Add six small and one larger bead to wire on each side of the domino (sources unknown)

13. Wrap ends of wire around the jump rings of each pair of bottle caps.

14. Cut two 4 1/2” lengths of jewelry chain (craft store). Attach one to each side of the necklace using the jump rings on the bottle caps.

15. Add a clasp to the chain.

16. Sign your art (the back if the domino is a great place.)
