Embossed Metal Lily by
Karen Bourke

Choose an embossing template for your focal point and cut a piece of copper to size. In this case I have chosen a calla lily and a tag. Either run the copper and templates through your die-cutting machine or place it on an embossing mat and emboss by hand. Trim to size. (See Picture 1)
© Karen Bourke

Place the templates back over your embossed work and use alcohol ink to change the colour of the flower and centre of the tag – in this case I used metallic silver for the main flower and centre tag and Posh Rainbow Ink in yellow to colour the stamen. Stamp a greeting/phrase on the tag. (See Picture 2)

Mat and layer onto your main cardstock and add any embellishments you wish.

Little Annie by Daylene Strickland

1) Trim a 4-1/4" x 5-1/4" piece of lightweight embossing copper (84g by AMACO). Run through die cut machine to cut oval with Sizzix small die. Place between the Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder and run through die cut machine to emboss. (See Picture)

2) Use a hand-held long reach lighter to heat the copper and change to the various colors. Use caution when holding the copper as the metal gets very hot and always use caution when using a flame. When cool, use fingertips to apply a thin layer of white glue to cover back of foil and fill in crevices to keep embossed areas from collapsing.

3) Stamp photo image (Rubber Stamp Tapestry) with Nick Bantok Damson Plum on white gloss cardstock. Trim leaving enough edge to complexly fill the oval. Tape to the backside of metal.

4) Use Coluzzle template to cut out oval frame and rectangle frame on gold cardstock. Emboss the small oval with same Cuttlebug Textile folder. Glue frames on metal. Layer on eggplant cardstock and pre-made ivory card.

Metal Embossed Card by Robin Smalley

Take a piece of medium aluminum and dry emboss with a swirl design. Drag black StazOn inkpad over the metal to high light the embossed area.

Punch a scalloped circle and stamp with black ink Happy Birthday (Katie & Co.). Place black eyelets on each side of circle and thread a black ribbon threw them and adhere to the metal layer. Place this layer onto a black card stock.

Spring Tulip by Bernardine Farmer

1. On heavy duty aluminum foil 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" dry emboss a tulip. Color tulip with Gelly Roll gel pens and allow to dry. Use a tracing wheel (for marking fabrics) along each side to make a dotted decorative border.

2. Mount embossed tulip onto scrapbook paper size 3-1/2" x 4-1/2" with double sided tape.

3. Mount onto a green A2 card.

Mermaid Dancing On a Copper Ocean by Mary Lind, Design Team Leader

1.                  Purchase copper foil (Home Depot roofing department). If copper foil you purchased has a black waxy backing, heat gently with heat gun to remove backing from copper.

2.                  Bake copper foil in oven for approximately half an hour at 350 degrees F. to create a colorful patina.

3.                  Cut copper foil with Wizard Die Cut Machine using Spirellabilities “Petals Pointed” die. Pass copper through Wizard a second time to emboss. Sprinkle Opalettes (Macquarie and Daintree, www.amstamps.com) onto copper wheels and emboss.

4.                  Stamp “Seaweed Sylph Large Stamp” image (Time to Stamp) on cream cardstock. Emboss with copper embossing powder. Color in image using colored pencils and trim carefully.

5.                  Stamp “Inspire” using JustRite preinked stamp onto aqua cardstock. Emboss with silver embossing powder and scribble with copper and teal oil pastel crayons.  Tear around text and adhere to a torn rectangle of olive cardstock.

6.                  Fold cream metallic cardstock in half and trim with a paper trimmer. Adhere text to center top of card.  Audition mermaid image and copper wheels and adhere to card.

{Note, the copper wheels are sharp and need to be carefully adhered to card. Because of the sharp edges, this card is not appropriate for small children.)

Thanks by Cheryl Rotnem

Cut a piece of Dark Green Cardstock to A2 size, fold.

Cut lime green cardstock about 1-1/2" X 2" wrap like package making
a flower on top. Mount to white cardstock a little large. Next, take some aluminum
foil, and chipboard together, die cut a slide mount. Next, take a brass template to emboss
the word "Thanks". Take red permanent ink run over the letters lightly to bring out the
bossing.

Now back to main cardstock, stamp with leaves (Stampin'Up!) in pigment ink white
randomly over the front. Once dry glue with favorite glue the slide mount and flower pkg.
to top part of card.
