Father's Day & Masculine Card Ideas

Dad’s Twinkling H2O Wash by Betty McCommon

Tree Stamp by Lindy’s Stamp Gang
Mountain stamp PSX

Directions:
Mist Twinkling H2O paints with water to activate.
Brush onto watercolor paper with brush as shown.
I used assorted blues, greens, orange, red and yellow.
Stamp as shown and tear.
Mount on dark green and then tan cardstock.

Sailing Ship Stamp #MS187C by Museum Stamps

Directions:
1. Stamp image in dark blue on blue cardstock and emboss.
2. With Direct to Paper method wipe metallic blue stamp pad across image several times.
3. Wipe off excess ink from the image with a paper towel or soft cloth.
4. Cut the blue cardstock with the image to 3” X 4 1/4”
5. Fold and score an A2 card from Anodised cardstock
6. Mount the blue cardstock with the image onto the 4 ¼” X 5 1/2” A2 card.
7. Glue the embellishment and the fibers as shown.

Directions:
Trim printed paper 1/4" smaller than front of card.  Attach. 

Stamp and emboss bike image onto 1/4 sheet green cardstock.  Cut carefully around the image. 

Print images from Dover Design and Artistampfreebies and cut out. 

Attach mini poster to top right corner of card front. 

Attach stamped image to bottom right of the card. 

Place postage stamp image in the upper left and dog image behind bike. 

Place scrabble tiles at random on front of card. 
Add words from Phrase Cafe in the left center portion of the card.

Window Screen Background Stamp #E2305 - Hero Arts

Directions:
1. Stamp the “A” image in the center of the green cardstock with black ink.
2. Stamp the “A” image again onto the Eclipse tape and cut out for a mask.
3. With the mask covering the "A" Image on the green cardstock, stamp the “D” image on both sides of the “A” image with black ink.
4. Stamp the window screen design in upper left and lower right of the “A” Image in black.
5. Use the direct-to-paper method with the celery ink pad around the edges of the stamped green cardstock.
6. Put foam tape on the back four corners and center of the green cardstock with the "DAD" images.
7. Peel the backing off the tape and center onto the front of the black card.
8. Open the card and Punch four holes as shown in the front of the card.
9. String the ribbon through the top two holes and tie together on the inside. Repeat with bottom ribbon.

Stamp - Neckties by A Stamp in the Hand

 

Directions:
Fold red cardstock in half and stamp ties randomly in Versa Mark, let dry.
Ink each tie a different color and stamp onto tan cardstock and emboss.
Stipple distress ink over tie image on tan paper and lightly rub with a damp paper towel and let dry.
Print Happy Father's Day on tan cardstock using a computer printer then stipple and dampen the distress ink.
Attach tie image onto rust cardstock, then striped paper and finally the red cardstock.
Punch holes on the four corners of the tan cardstock and attach brads to corners. (I moved this line down)
Tear the edges of the sentiment and attach to red cardstock below the ties image.
Punch holes on either side and add the remaining two brads.

Father’s Day Feather Card by Betty McCommon

Greeting by TAC

Directions:
Make base card from Bronze Ore Cardstock.
Randomly stamp feathers in Copper ink and emboss with copper powder on tan cardstock cut slightly smaller than base card.
Then randomly stamp different feathers in gold, making sure to over stamp some of the copper ones, and emboss with gold powder.
Tear a piece out at an angle as shown on sample.
Ink the torn edges with the copper ink pad.
On a torn piece of 5 ½ inch vellum, stamp Happy Father’s Day! at random angles, 3 times and emboss with copper powder.
Assemble as shown.
Cut a very small V from the top and bottom corner of fold.

Tie on the floss.

Directions:

1. Cut the white cardstock to 3 ¼” X 4 ½”.

2. Stamp the whales on the white cardstock slightly to the left.

3. Slide the sky stamp with blue ink across the top a couple of times, avoiding the whale.

4. Stamp Dad in black on the top right side.

5. Stamp image onto the paper side of the O’So tape and cut the tape along the waterline.

6. Carefully peel the back of the tape liner part way. Centering the tape over the image, set it on the stamped image and carefully pull the rest of the liner out as you lay the tape down. Press the tape down.

7. Put the taped image in a Tidy Tray and peel of the top liner of the tape.

8. Pour the beads on the tape and then press into the tape with an old brayer or flat object.

9. Put some Diamond glaze on the water splashes and pour beads on top, but don’t push them into the diamond glaze. Set aside to dry.

10. Cut black cardstock to 4 ¼” X 5 ½”

11. Fold and score an A2 card from white cardstock

12. Mount beaded image onto the black cardstock and then onto the card.

Ship Stamp by PSX

Directions:
Stamp ship image onto printed map paper using black ink. 

Layer tan cardstock, sunflower cardstock and map background paper onto top portion of the rust card.   

Place definition sticker in the upper left corner and Phrase Cafe words centered on lower portion beneath layers.

 Directions:
Stamp wheat image randomly on brown card with coffee bean ink and stamp once on vellum strip.  Set aside. 

Ink block stamp with blue dye ink. Center and stamp on cream cardstock strip. 

Center vellum on cream strip with wheat image and blocks aligned.  Punch hole at top and bottom of both.  Attach brads. 

 

Rip edges of vellum and attach prepared strip to brown card. 

 

Stamp inside of card with Father's Day sentiment of your choice if desired.


Embellish with fiber.
