"At Sea Brooch " - Altered Game Board by Alicia Simon
Design Team Member

Supplies:
All Images from Art By Moonlight Out to Sea Plate ~ www.ArtByMoonlight.com
1 Piece of a Scrabble board cut to a 2x2" square
3 small Pieces of Seaglass- Blue, White, and Green
Clear Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (UTEE)
Melting Pot or Embossing Inkpad and Heat Gun
Metallic Dark Green Lumiere Paint
Black Staz On inkpad (or other permanent Black Inkpad)
Deep Harbour and Pine Ancient Page Inkpads
Silver Marker

Directions:
1) If you don't already have your scrabble board cut down then use a paper cutter or craft knife and do it now. Cut it to 2x2"
2) Drop a little of the Green Lumiere Paint into a palette, and add a few drops of water.
3) Paint the Scrabble Board with the thinned paint. It will sparkle and shine and be green, but the board design will show through slightly. Let dry.
4) Paint the sea glass with the watered down paint, instead of letting it dry blot off any extra. This makes the glass sparkle and match better.
5) Stamp the large seashell in black on the bottom of the piece.
6) Stamp the smaller seashells in various places on the board using the Ancient Page inkpads.
7) Stamp "At Sea" in Black at the top of the board.
8) Use the silver marker to edge the board.
9) Stir the Embossing Enamel in the pot to create bubbles.
10) Dip the board into the pot several times, letting dry in between dips, or pour the Embossing Enamel on.
11) Push the sea glass pieces onto the board while it is still hot.
12) Re dip the board 1-3 more times.
13) Let cool and glue on a pin back. Or use to embellish a card.

If you do Not have a Melting Pot:
Instead of steps 9-12 Coat the board with embossing ink by tapping on an Embossing Inkpad. Then Sprinkle on the Embossing Enamel and heat with your heat gun. Repeat as many times as desired (about 4-6 should be good.) Push the sea glass onto the board after the last coat while it is still hot. Apply 2-3 More Coats.
