Repoussé Shoe Tin by Viki Banaszak

~ Click Here to Go to This Website ~

Stamp shoe from After Midnight Art Stamps onto tooling foil with permanent ink. Place the stamped tin on a piece of suede for cushion on top of a hard surface like glass for support. Use a stylus to outline the pattern. (See Picture 1)

After you have the outline, turn the piece over onto the glass and press the front down with a paper stump so that you have high and low areas.

Place your piece face up on your suede and run the Star Wheel Tool (Mercart) around the shoe design. Add the Diagonal line wheel (Mercart) around the edges to frame the piece. (See Picture 2)
Then use a ball and cup tool to fill in the background. Use the ball side of the tool from the back of the metal to push it forward, then flip the piece over onto the glass and use the cup side of the tool to refine the dots. (See Picture 3)

Color the indented parts with a Sharpie marker and fill in with Diamond Glaze. Set aside to dry. (See Picture 4)

To antique your piece use carbon black acrylic paint (Golden) on a q-tip applicator. (See Picture 5)
Rub over the surface with a rag to reveal the raised areas. (See Picture 6)

Fill the back of your repose’ with spackle and a spatula and allow to dry thoroughly. (See Picture 7)

Attach to a gift card tin with E-6000 glue. (See Picture 8)
