Quick & Creative Cards Team

Theme: Photograph Art

Lighthouse by Cheryl Rotnem

Stamp Credits: Stampin' Up!

1. Cut an A2 size cardstock using Ruby Red (SU!)
2. Take a photograph of the sky or any thing that would fit your stamp you use. Mine is a lighthouse, so of course mine is of the sky. Stamp the lighthouse onto the photograph in permanent ink, like Ancient Page, in Black.
3. Cut it to 4 X 4-1/4 inches and then use some scrapbook paper to mount it onto, leaving about an 1/8" border of the paper showing. I used a yellow wood grain type of paper, Now take your notched punch and punch all 4 corners of photo and mat. Glue onto Ruby Red card with favorite glue.
4. For add embellishment, add blue jute using your favorite glue.

Dad by Sharon Liebman, Reader Submission

1. Print vintage photo on transparency and portrait photo on cardstock.
2. Cut frame from cardstock. Cover frame with embossing ink and black embossing powder. Heat. While still wet sprinkle silver embossing power and heat emboss until silver melts. Affix portrait photo.
3. Dry emboss a silver metal tag with metal embossers to spell DAD. Rub with jet black StazOn and heat set. Rub lightly with very fine sandpaper. Do the same to a silver brad.

Assembly:
1. Cut transparency slightly larger on left side. Apply double sided tape to underside of transparency on left side. Affix to card lining up right side.
2. Attach square eyelets on top and bottom on right side.
3. Add ribbon (I used 2, 1 thick and 1 thin) making sure to cover where tape shows through transparency.
4. Attach DAD tag with brad (that has also been aged with StazOn).
5. Attach portrait in frame.

I chose black and white but this could be done just as nicely in browns/sepia for a more vintage look.
Memories by Bernardine Farmer

1. Fold charcoal gray cardstock for an A2 card.

2. Cut a piece of clear acetate 5-1/4" x 4". In the lower right corner, use StazOn jet black ink pad with Stampabilities What Matters Most . Allow to dry and turn acetate over. Stamp Hero Arts Bursting Fireworks with Versa Mark.

3. Sprinkle Superior Design seaside sparkle embossing powder on the smaller fireworks and pour off. Sprinkle Stampendous red dragon embossing power over the larger fireworks and pour off. Heat emboss carefully so you do not melt the acetate.

4. Cut a 5-1/4" x 1/2" strip of Ladiebug Design patriotic scrapbook paper and adhere 1/8" down from the top of the card. Reduce photo to 2-1/2" x 3" and adhere to card.

5. Run a line of clear glue across top edge of the scrapbook strip and adhere the acetate with the fireworks toward the cardstock.
