'March Hare Playing Cards' Charm Bracelet
by Leigh S-B (The Sharpie Domino Queen)

Supplies:
Rubber Stamp: Mad Tea Party from Alice in Wonderland by Leavenworth Jackson #228G
Ancient Page dye ink - coal black
Prismacolor Pencils Silver toned charm bracelet
Silver toned jump rings
Silver toned wire
Mini playing cards
Pressed glass playing cards
Beads
Xyron laminating and adhesive cartridges
Silver embossing powder
Hot pot
Tweezers
Tiny hole punch
Needle nose pliers
Wire cutters

Directions
Run a piece of white paper through a Xyron to add adhesive to the back. Stick 5 mini playing cards to the sticky side of the paper and trim around each p/card. Ink just the Hare portion of the rubber stamp with black dye ink and stamp the back of each playing card. Colour with Prismacolor pencils.

Run the playing cards charms through a Xyron to laminate. Trim each p/card leaving a narrow laminate border. Melt silver embossing powder in a hot pot until molten. Carefully dip the edges of each playing card charm into the liquid to create a faux soldered effect. It's best to use tweezers so you don't burn your fingers.

Punch a tiny hole at the top of each playing card charm and attach a jump ring. Cut a length of wire and thread one glass playing card bead onto one end. At the shortest end of the wire form a loop with the needle nose pliers and wrap the longest end around the stem 2 - 3 times just below the loop. Cut off the longest part of the wire and continue doing the same thing on the remaining beads.

Lay the charm bracelet out and measure out the positioning for each playing card charm. Attach them evenly spaced to the bracelet with the jump rings, alternating which way each playing card charm faces, i.e. one shows the hare and the next a card suite and so on. Then evenly spaced between a playing card charm attach a glass playing card bead with a jump ring.

TIP: Bracelet isn't meant for frequent use and should be removed while washing your hands etc. However, to make it withstand more wear and tear I would suggest making the playing card charms more durable. After doing the faux soldering, dunk the entire charm into molten clear embossing powder to seal in the soldered edges. Once cool re-punch the holes.
