Summer Charm Bracelet by Kathleen Nycz

1.  Lightly sand a sheet of clear shrink plastic with fine grit sandpaper.  Sponge on several colors of acrylic inks (Dr. P.H. Martin - frosted peach, rose lame’, copper plate,  bronze. iridescent salmon, and saffron yellow). (See Picture 1)
 Let Dry.

2.  Stamp shell and starfish (Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers) with permanent brown ink. (See Picture 2)
Let Dry.

3.  Cut out shells and starfish.  Punch holes in top of shell and one arm of the starfish with a 1/8 inch hole punch. (See Picture 3)

4.  Shrink shells and starfish in oven according to manufacturer’s instructions or with a heat tool.  Let cool.

5.  Cover the painted/stamped side of each piece with Diamond Glaze being careful not to get the glaze in the punched hole.  Let dry until glaze is hard.

6.  Make bead dangles by threading beads of choice onto 1 1/4 inch head pins.  Leave at least a half inch of the head pin unbeaded and bend at a right angle.  (See Picture 4)

7.  On a 7 inch bracelet chain attach the shells and starfish with jumprings.  Form a loop at the top of the headpins on the bead dangles and attach them to the chain before closing the loop.  Evenly space the pieces in the following sequence:  shell, bead dangle, starfish, bead dangle, shell, bead dangle, starfish, bead dangle, shell, bead dangle.

If you stamped the entire sheet of shrink plastic, you should have enough shells and starfish to make a matching necklace.
