Wedding Card Ideas

Vintage Wedding Card by Annette Lanker

 

Instructions:

Print out the clip art onto white paper and trim the edges.

Mount the trimmed image onto a scrap of black paper.

Cut & fold the ivory cardstock for an A2 card.

Distress the front of the ivory card using Antique Linen ink.

Cut a section of the Postale sheet with French writing on it.

Trim the French writing to compliment the clip art image.

Mount the French writing onto a scrap of black paper.

Adhere to the distressed ivory card.

Center the layered clip art image.

Place your congratulatory wishes to the happy couple inside!

Wedding Dress Rubber Art Stamp by PSX

 

Instructions:

Attach 1/4 sheet of the rose script collage paper to the front of the card. 

 

Stamp the wedding dress image onto white cardstock using the Shades of Rose Blending Blox ink.  Cut carefully around image and glue small piece of pearl beading to the back of the dress.  Set aside to dry. 

 

Cut certificate from collage paper background and attach at an angle on the top left of the card.  Carefully glue or tape cording around the certificate.  

 

Attach wedding dress image to bottom left and place the stickers at top right and bottom left of card.

Instructions:

1. Fold tan cardstock in half.   Stamp scroll pattern in white pigment ink over the front of the card and emboss in silver pearl.

2.  Round the corners of the vellum and patterned paper with the punch. Stamp wedding cake on vellum with black dye ink.  Color the reverse side of cake with markers.

3.  Attach vellum to patterned paper.  Attach patterned paper to front of card. 

4. Attach bow to bottom of vellum panel.

Rose Basket 3D Sticker by Elizabeth Browned, K& Company

Instructions:

1. Cut the Stardream cardstock to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

2. Trim the Tim Holtz cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4.

3. Lay the doily on the Tim Holtz cardstock as shown and cut off the excess.

4. Put very small dots of Diamond Glaze on the back of the doily and then adhere to the paper.

5. Stamp the greeting close to the corner.

6. Tuck the string of pearls between the layers of the 3D sticker and wind around as shown.

7. Cut the end of the pearls and tuck between the layers. Glue both ends in place with Diamond Glaze.

8. Peel the backing off the sticker and mount onto the doily as shown.

9. Mount onto the Stardream cardstock and then onto the A2 card

Instructions:
1. Cut, score & fold an A2 card from white cardstock.
2. Cut a 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” piece of the collage paper from the pinkest part of the sheet and mount onto the card.
3. Cut a 2 7/8”x 4 1/4” piece of white cardstock and mount onto the left side of the collage paper as shown.
4. Cut a 2 3/4”x 4 1/8” piece of mulberry paper and mount on top of the white cardstock.
5. Cut the Pink corner of the rainbow paper to 2 1/2”x 3 7/8”.
6. Stamp the bride and groom in the center of the pink rainbow paper.
7. Mount the image onto the mulberry paper.
8. Stamp the greeting on the bottom of the Collage paper.
9. Adhere two hot pink heart shape buttons above as shown.
10. Tie a tiny bow and adhere to the side of the dress. Clip and adhere the ends.

Curved Edge Card Template by WildCards

Directions:

Using WildCards template, prepare card in violet cardstock without the window. 

 

Using same template, prepare front cover only in marbled paper, including the window.  Adhere vellum verse to back of marbled paper, centering in the window.  Apply entire piece to front of violet card. 

 

Alter curve of front flap as shown and attach black cardstock scrap to edge and trim closely.

Instructions:

Stamp wedding dress with embossing ink on white cardstock.  Emboss with  Gold Embossing Powder.  Heat set.  Cut around image with decorative scissors. 

 

Stamp Dream and Believe on remaining white cardstock with Shades of Rose Blending Blox ink.  Cut around the images with decorative scissors.  
 

Attach floral collage paper to front of card.  Attach wedding dress image in center of card and offset words at top left and bottom right. 

 

Loop cording around inside of card and tie in a bow.

Heart Stamp by Wordsworth

Instructions:

1.  Fold large piece of white cardstock in half.  Glue on patterned paper.  Cut a 3 1/2 inch square window in front of card using an x-acto knife and ruler.  Glue 4 X 4 pink cardstock on back of the window opening and cut a 1/4" border on all four sides. 

2.  Cut a heart shape out of the word paper.  Stamp and emboss heart in black.  Color in heart and square background.  Glue heart onto mulberry paper and tear out heart shape leaving a 1/4" border.  Glue pearl strand around word paper heart.  Attach inside the window.

3.  Stamp the scroll in wheat shadow ink on small white rectangle.  Stamp congratulations in orchid and emboss.  Cut a few pearls off of the strand and glue on randomly.  Attach to center bottom of the card.

Love Rubber Art Stamp by PSX

nstructions:

Attach the Rose collage paper to the front of the card. 

 

Stamp image onto white cardstock and emboss with copper embossing powder.  Heat set.  Cut closely around image. 

 

Cut 2 3/4" Square from copper cardstock. Attach to the front of the card at an angle and attach the image to the center of the copper diamond.

Attach buttons at the four corners of the card.

Leaf Stamp from Art by Moonlight

Instructions:

Cut pink cardstock to 5" X 4".  Stamp the leaf randomly using the Rose Blending Blox pad, but NOT reinking after each stamp.

 

Cut paste paper to 3"X4.5" and tear as shown. Stamp greeting on bottom half and emboss in gold.  Attach to pink cardstock leaving space in the middle. 

 

Punch corners of pink cardstock and string the stretched Bouillon.  Mount onto the white card base.

Directions:
Stamp the bride and groom in the center of the square and the
swirl/dot stamp around the square randomly with Prussian Blue ink.
Color the pre-embossed border around the square with blue chalk pencil and smudge with finger.

Rubber Stamps:

     Wedding Cake from Rubber Soul

      To Have and To Hold from Savvy Stamps

      Love from Rubber Soul

 

Instructions: 

1)  Stamp the wedding cake image onto the acetate using Bright Blue MicaMagic and allow to dry (or CAREFULLY heat set).

2)  Stamp the "To Have and To Hold" image on a scrap of white cardstock using Bright Blue MicaMagic. 

3)  Edge the scrap of cardstock by scraping it over the Jade Satin inkpad several times.

4)  Mount the wedding cake image to another white cardstock piece.

5) Edge the cake image with O'So Sticky tape and dip the mounted image into silver micro beads.  Adhere beads firmly to the tape.

6)  Using the Love image and Baby Blue MicaMagic ink.  Randomly stamp a horizontal pattern across card front.

7)  Heat set the card front.

8)  Apply foam mounting tape to the white cardstock pieces and position them onto your card front as seen on the sample.

9)  Add silver/gold fibers to the folded edge by tying them off on the inside.
