Butterflies Pot by Wendy Kerr

Easy to do pot that would be great to hold pens on your desk.

Pot Supplies:
Stamp: A Stamper's Paradise
White Cardstock
Embossing Ink
Black & Iridescent Peacock Embossing Powder
Heat Gun
Watercolors, Pearl Ex
Clay Flower Pot
Pop-Dots
Acrylic Paints (Light Blue, Dark Blue, Gray)
Toilet Paper
Scissors

Directions:
Add your three paint colors to a plastic plate. Wad up a piece of toilet paper and dip into your darkest paint, dab all over paint. Repeat with other colors. Then set your pot aside to dry.
I used toilet paper because it not only give a "sponged" look to the paint, but some of the paper will remain on the pot giving you and interesting texture.

Stamp your butterfly and embossing in black. Paint with watercolors mixed with Pearl Ex. While still wet, add Iridescent Peacock embossing powder and heat.
Cut out your butterfly. Mount onto pot by putting Pop-Dots behind the wings.

To Finish Pot:
Add stiff foam to the inside of your pot. Add flowers by firmly pressing flower stems into the foam.

Butterfly Pens:
Wrap pen in GREEN FLORAL TAPE. Stamp butterfly (My Heart Stamps For You) onto white cardstock and emboss with black detail embossing powder. Watercolor butterfly. Add IRIDESCENT PEACOCK Embossing Powder and Heat. Trim your image as close as possible. Add wire to the back of your butterfly. Wrap wire around pen. Insert into your floral arrangement.
