The Acetate Smooch
by Jane Johnston

Supplies:
 acetate
4 water based markers (Tombows Markers were used in the samples.)
 spritzer water bottle
 glossy card stock
 lots of paper towels
a couple of sheets of plain paper to work on that are larger than your acetate

Instructions:
Cover your work space with paper….this is a messy but fun technique
Lay your acetate onto a piece of plain paper
Generously scribble the markers onto the acetate

Spritz water on the colors just enough to wet them but not to make the colors run.

Place a piece of white glossy cardstock over the wet area
Press down gently so that the colors ooze out from all edges
Don't leave the cardstock too long or it will stick to the acetate
Gently remove the cardstock from the acetate and set aside to dry. A piece of paper towel can be used to carefully remove any excess water
The cardstock will curl and then straighten as it dries. You may have to put the backgrounds into a thick book to completely flatten before using them.
