Tips and Helps from Steph Schirmer
Make Your Tidy Tray Static Free by Sue4stampin
For working with glass micro beads or glitter, I take the tidy tray and spray
the inside with "Static Guard". (There are several brands and it eliminates
static electricity on electronics, cloths and carpets. Fuller brush used to
carry it, but don't know if they still do). It eliminates the beads or glitter
from jumping all over the place. I sprayed mine 6 months ago and use it all the
time.
Storage for Re-inkers:
Have a ton of re-inkers....A way to keep all of them sorted by brands is to buy
cheap plastic utensil bins and separate them out....that way if you need to
re-ink your Adirondacks just pull the bin saves times of sorting thru
them....they can be stored in an iris cart drawer or bigger drawers stacked on
top of each other.
Jars:
Have a lot of embossing powder, paints, beads in jars in a drawer....turn things
up side down....arrange them by color groups...if you have them this way makes
it easier for grabbing less searching
Stamp Pads:
I learned this one from Nancy Curry.... with a permanent marker write the color
of the stamp pad on the inside lid....that way you don't have to close it
constantly to see what color it is...and when they are closed and lined up write
the color on the edge of the stamp pad...much easier for picking them out...and
since pad casings for a certain brand are all the same color makes this much
easier like Adirondacks, ancient page etc...
Altered Art:
The key here is recycle....keep old maps, atlases, travel brochures, open junk
mail, newspapers celebrating their founding...the key is to keep your eyes open
to everything...and separate things into clear shoeboxes that are labeled with
what is in each of them...makes it much easier to pull things as needed.
Clear Frames:
These work for a number of things....buy cheap clear plastic 1" frames to store
stamps, things you pull for projects, they can stack on top of each other in
drawers....then when you need something just pull that particular one...
