What is Art? Tag Card by
Lis Whiting Card Base:
You will need three manila tags 4-3/4" x 2-3/8". Stamp them with Cranberry
[Adirondack Dye Ink] with various art stamps including sayings [Stamper’s
Anonymous, Limited Editions, Artful Legacy]. Take the Stamper’s Anonymous
“art poss’ stamp and stamp the image onto light green cardstock also. Cut
out several pieces from the collage design (pear, compass, blocks,
tickets, “vision” eye). Stamp two slide mounts with art definition in
Meadow [Adirondack Dye Ink]. Colordust the photo slides with Lettuce
[Adirondack Dye Ink]. Colordust the three tags and the cut outs with Ochre
[Marvy].

Front of Tag Card:
Take the tag with the collage stamped on it and adhere the cut outs to it
with mounting tape making sure to match the designs up exactly. Trim any
pieces that go over the edge of the tag. Color in the mounted pieces with
red and gold glitter glue. Let dry. |

|
Middle of Tag Card:
Cut transparency to 1-3/4 x 1-3/4" to use with the slide mounts. Use
one slide mount to accent the “A” for art. Attach a piece of
transparency to the back of the slide mount and then adhere the
slide mount with mounting tape over the “A” to frame it. Use a glass
piece (the kind that you can buy at Michaels that you put in fish
bowls or flower vases to hold flower stems) to accent the word “art”
at the bottom. Adhere it with a large glue dot. Use crystal glitter
glue to accent some of the stamped words on the slide mount. Let
dry. |
|

|
Last Page of Tag Card:
Prepare a slide mount as above and mount over the ARS LONGA words. Let the
slide mount hang over the right edge of the tag a little. Add a
clock to the upper right hand corner of the tag. Accent words on the
slide mount with crystal glitter glue. Let dry. |
Put Your Tag Card Together:
Punch holes in all three tags (with any of the following punch, Japanese
screw drill, rubicoil) and lace a plastic coil in metallic green
(Verdigris) [Rubicoil – Bonnie’s Best-website] to join them into one book.
Place fibers through the holes in the tops of the tags.

Write your thoughts on the back side of the tags and give to someone you
love.
