Burgundy Twist by Daylene Strickland

Use two small pieces of high gloss white cardstock; mist with rubbing alcohol and sparingly add a few drops of alcohol ink randomly. Project uses Sangria & Santa Fe Red by Jacquard. QUICKLY mist cardstock again with alcohol spray and rub both glossy sides of cardstock together to spread ink. The ink dries very fast so this must be done immediately. Stop or continue until desired coloration/pattern result is achieved. (See Picture 1)


Select placement on coloration pattern desired and stamp in black. (Romance Couple by Stampington) (See Picture 2)
 Use a clear slide over desired part of image and trim to fit. Add metallic foil candy wrappers around edges of paper for embellishments. Color silver foil tape (US ArtQuest) using Sangria alcohol ink. (See Picture 3)

Secure stamped image between two glass slides using the colored foil tape to seal them. Set aside.

Choose a dark cardstock (burgundy); light (pink) and decorative (mulberry). Trim three panels the same size. For this card the size is 3-1/2" x 4-3/4". Stamp Damask BG (ANM) on burgundy; emboss script (Hero Arts) in silver onto mulberry. Wet and tear the edges of the mulberry. Put all layers down and slightly twist or turn them either to the right or left creating angles allowing each layer to show at the corners. (See Picture 4)

Adhere these layers together and trim the edges to be even with the bottom layer. Edge with metallic silver pen.

Add silver lame cording around slide and secure slide to card with dimensional dots. Add layers to folded burgundy card. Embellish slide further with crystal jewels.
