Love Flutters by Lis Whiting

Cardstock needed:
8-1/2 x 5-1/2 inches (lavender sparkle)
4 x 5-1/4 inches (lavender confetti)
8-1/2 x 5-1/2 inches (pale yellow)
Twinkling H2O’s
All stamps used are from Outlines except the “love” stamp which is from Hero Arts.

Take the lavender sparkle and fold in half to create your base card. Stamp “love” with VersaMark to the lavender confetti cardstock and add to card. Set aside.

Stamp butterfly and “Valentine’s” on yellow cardstock and emboss in detail gold. Cut out. When cutting out the valentine’s stamp also cut out the word on the inside so that it is separate.
Color as follows:
Hearts - ruby red
Leaves - Irish mist
Body of butterfly - mustard green
Antennae - mustard green
Wings - base: 2 coats of sweet lavender, brush ruby red with an almost dry brush from the base of each wing with a feathery stroke, finish with a coat of Stardream over the red and about halfway out each wing

Place 3mm gems in golden yellow and red on the butterfly wings.

Add mounting tape to all three pieces and position on card (test your position first before gluing it all down. Attach the “Valentine’s first.)

Add a doubled length gold yarn to the card, tying at the top. Attach a brass heart to cover the knot. Tie a key to one of the ends.
