Gibson Girl Shaker Card by Annette Lanker

Supplies:

Gibson Girl stamp by Posh Impressions

Swirl background stamp by DeNami Design

Frame image by Stamper's Anonymous

Happy Valentine's Day sentiment by Rubber Soul

 Directions:

1. Stamp the frame image in red ink in the center of 1/2 sheet of white matte cardstock.

2. Stamp the Gibson Girl image in black ink in the center of 1/4 sheet of white matte cardstock.

3. Cut out the center portion of the frame (the window part).

4. Flip the 1/2 sheet over and on the backside; mark a one inch border around the outside of the frame image's borders.  This will create flaps to fold over to hold the beads in place for the "shaker" part of the shaker card.

5. Cut a square from the piece of acetate to create the "glass" in our picture frame.

6. Mount the acetate securely with double sided adhesive on the backside of the frame image.

7. Position the Gibson Girl image behind the opening and determine the most attractive location.  You may cut the image down to fit it inside the frame's measurements.

8. Holding her in place, fold over one of the flaps and using double sided tape, adhere her in place.  This will keep her in position while you finish the rest of the shaker part.

9. On the backside of the frame image, cut strips of foam mounting tape and create a little square-bigger than the acetate-with the foam tape.  The corners of the tape square MUST TOUCH (or your beads will fall out).

10. Spoon your beads (mixture of red, rose and silver) into the little square formed by the foam tape and onto the acetate piece.

11. Place double sided adhesive tape on the other flaps.

12. Fold the Gibson Girl image on the flap in first.

13. Fold the opposite flap in next, and then the other two.

14. Seal the back flaps with a big strip of O'So Sticky Tape.

15. This should have created a little shaker box for your card front.

16. Add strips of O'So Sticky tape to the edges of the shaker box.

17. Remove the liner and dip the top and bottom edges into red opaque micro beads. Then remove the side liners and dip the sides into rose opaque micro beads.

18. Using VersaMark ink, stamp the swirl background all over your red card base.

19. Stamp your sentiment on a scrap of the white cardstock in red ink.

20. Randomly stipple the images and outline the sentiment with hot pink ink.

21. Adhere shaker box to the card front with O'So Sticky Tape.

22. Adhere the sentiment to the card front with mounting tape.

My Heart Sings by Sue Lorang

Directions:

1. Score and fold pink card to 4 ¼ X 5 ½

2. Cut Red cardstock to 4 X 5 ¼

3. Use decorative ruler to trim music paper

4. Print “You make my heart sing” with MS Word in FrancineHmkBold size 24 on pink vellum then trim with decorative ruler.

5. Punch small heart in red cardstock, then with big punch turned over align the paper so it punches evenly around the small heart. I don’t have the punch that does it all at once.

6. Carefully cover only the top of the red heart with Diamond Glaze.

7. Pour red micro beads on top of glaze. Do Not push the beads into the glaze.

8. When the heart is dry, run the vellum strip through the heart.

9. Adhere red layer on pink card & music paper onto red cardstock.

10. With adhesive on the back of the heart and vellum tape on the ends of the strip, adhere to the music paper.

11. Trim ends off the vellum strip.

Beaded Heart Card by Betty McCommon

Rubber Stamps by Stampin' Up

Directions:

Cut a piece of white fun foam roughly the size of your stamp.

Ink your stamp with distress ink and set aside.

Heat your foam with your heat gun until it begins to curl, flip over and continue to heat.  Make sure you move your gun so you don't burn it.

When it starts to curl, stop and immediately stamp into it. I like to stand up and push down evenly and hold it for a while.  Remove stamp and when cool, rub some more Distress Ink on and lightly spray with water to 'distress' it.  Set aside to dry.

Cut white cardstock for card base and a piece of red for layering, about 1/4 inch smaller.  Spray gold webbing on red and set aside to dry.  On a 1/4 sheet of vellum, I stamped Be My Valentine in Lighting Black Brilliance.  I like Brilliance ink as it dries on vellum.

By now your foam should be dry.  Squirt some Beedz glue onto some wax paper and roll the edge of heart in the glue then in red micro beads.  Again set aside to dry.

Stamp hearts on red in Lightening Black.  Layer as shown putting the vellum on the red with vellum tape.  Attach fibers, glue foam heart on with rubber cement.

Valentine Tag Card by Betty McCommon

Supplies:

Stamps by Stampin' Up!

Directions:

Cut base card from Marble cardstock

Cut a piece of white cardstock and O’So Sticky (OSS) sheet about 1/2 inch smaller than base card.

Cut the OSS sheet diagonally from corner to corner.

Remove covering from one side of OSS piece and carefully put on white cardstock, remove coating from top of OSS.

Place in a tidy tray or box lid and pour red beads on.  Repeat with other piece and pour rose beads on.

Stamp hearts in black StazOn on the red side of beads and red StazOn on the rose side.  Set aside.

Sand a Formica tag to remove any writing with fine grit sandpaper.

Stamp saying and hearts on with red StazOn.  Let dry or heat to speed the process up.

Thread fibers on tag.  Place a piece of OSS tape on the back of the tag and mount to beaded sheet.

Mount beaded sheet on base and round corners on card edge.

2 of Hearts by Kelly Morrison

Use stipple brush to age playing card using dye inks.  Use additional brown ink around edges of playing card for dimension.

If using red backed O'So Sticky (OSS) tape, trace the heart from the playing card onto the OSS and then cut out.  (If using paper backed OSS you can use a heart punch.)  Do the same to cut out pieces of OSS to cover brad heads.

Apply OSS to hearts on card and then remove backing and apply micro beads.  Apply OSS to brad heads remove backing and apply micro beads.

Cut layers of cardstock for under playing card and center strip layers.  Use adhesive of your choice to affix layers.  Punch holes in center strip layers and then use brads to attach to card.  Use a foam dot to attach metallic heart embellishment.  Wrap fiber around top of card.

Valentine Love Vellum by Betty McCommon

Stamps: Stampin' Up

Directions:
I cut the white cardstock normal card size and vellum 1/4" wider than card front.
Stamp the front of your vellum in VersaMark and white emboss.

Brayer over vellum with Berry Kaleidacolor at an angle. REINK as needed to get desired look.
I then attached gem to the O and folded the extra 1/4" of the vellum to the back of the card and attached with MonoAdhesive. This way you won't see where it's attached. Add Fibers.
