Faux Toile Tiles by Karen Slusher

1. Using black StazOn ink, stamp large toile image (Stampin Up) onto yellow matt board.

2. Trim to 4-1/2" x 6" rectangle, and then cut horizontally and vertically through the center to create 4 equal tiles.

3. Sponge black ink onto edges of each tile.

4. Fold a 10" x 7" piece of white cardstock into a 5" x 7" card; DTP coordinating inks around 1" edge of card.

5. Measure to find center of card, then adhere tiles onto card where the pieces are centered and adjoined but have approximately 1/8" space between tiles.

6. Carefully apply an even amount of Liquid Glass (CTMH) or Diamond Glaze (Judikins) into the 1/8" space between tiles and around outside edges of all tiles.

7. Pour black microbeads (Pennywise Arts) over Liquid Glass and make sure beads get into all areas needed to create "grout". Return extra beads to container.

8. Allow bead adhesive to dry.

9. Ink entire surface of tiles with VersaMark ink; cover with clear UTEE (then shake off excess), then emboss with heat tool. Repeat this entire step twice more or until a thick coat of UTEE is achieved on tiles.
