Quick & Creative Cards

Welcome Winter

Poinsettia Card by Ann P

Fold half a sheet of red cardstock in half to form a DL card. Cut a sheet of cream card in the shape of a Christmas cracker. Stamp ivy on each end and colour images.

Stamp and emboss poinsettia on green card and again on red card using gold embossing powder. Cut around each piece so that green leaves will be showing on the bottom layer. Cut off those "leaves" on your red image and pop dot in position on top of the green layer.
Stick poinsettia on the centre of the cracker. Tie sheer red ribbon around each end of the cracker and attach the cracker to your red card.

Do You See What I See? Christmas card by Lis Whiting

Create a red card for your base, layer gold glossy cardstock onto it. Stamp a Merry Christmas background (Rubber Stampede) onto cream cardstock in red [Marvy Red]. Attach black photo corners to the cream cardstock and mount onto your card. Cut a piece of dark green cardstock and more cream cardstock and layer together. Emboss “Do you see what I see” (Rubber Stampede) in gold embossing powder. Layer onto card with mounting tape. Punch out a north star [punch bunch] and add to the sign with mounting tape. Add a gold foil drum and a red ribbon below.

Fat Snowman by Robin Smalley

On a piece of white cardstock, stamp Geometric Dots Border (Endless Creations, Inc) with a red inkpad. On the top half stamp Simple Shapes (Stampin Up!)

Cut a 5/8 inch strip of red cardstock and place where the top and bottom stamp areas meet.

Cut a 1-1/2 inch square and stamp snowman (Morning Star.) Layer this on a red then black square. Color in the red heart with a red marker.

Layer as shown.

Snowflake Christmas card by Lis Whiting

Create an ivory card base, then layer gold then red cardstock. Place a brass snowflake stencil [Dreamweaver] over the red cardstock. Use removable tape to keep it from slipping. Take a spatula and “frost” gold embossing paste [Dreamweaver] over the stencil. Scrape off all excess embossing paste, making sure that all the areas are filled in. Carefully remove the stencil to reveal your pattern. Sprinkle ultra fine crystal glitter over one snowflake before the embossing paste dries. Let dry. Adhere red cardstock to card.

Believe by Nancy Colin

Punch snowflakes out of metallic silver cardstock then layer metallic snowflake brads onto them. Layer metallic "Believe" embellishment onto glossy black cardstock. Then layer as shown.

Merry Christmas Card by Lis Whiting

Create a green card for your base, layer gold glossy then black cardstock. On a True Green piece of cardstock, punch a rectangle in the lower right side (1-7/8 x 1-1/2.) Emboss "Merry Christmas" background stamp (Rubber Stampede) in gold. Outline the punched rectangle with a gold pen. Mount onto card. Punch out a small tag in tan Stardream cardstock. Stamp Merry Christmas on it (Hero Arts). Attach a red bow to top of tag. Attach tag to center of rectangular opening with mounting tape.
