"Treasure Each Day" ATC by Jane in San Diego

Supplies:
Discarded CD (such as an AOL disk)
Scissors (use old, heavy duty shears NOT your good
stamping scissors)
Hot Water
Ranger Alcohol Inks (Wild Plum, Stream)
Ranger Blending solution
Leaf Stamp (unknown)
Clear embossing ink or pigment ink of your choice
Heat gun
Black hot glue
craft mat or parchment paper
Metallic rub on paste (Craf-T products)
Rub on Decal (Making Memories)
Clear embossing ink
Gold spray webbing (Krylon)

Directions:
1) Cut the discarded CD to ATC size by heating it up in hot water to soften the plastic and then cutting it with old shears.

2) Apply alcohol inks directly to the ATC and thin the colors with blending solution. Let dry.

3) Working outdoors and with good ventilation, spray on webbing paint. Let dry.

4) Meanwhile, cut of a chunk of black glue stick and melt it with your heat gun on a craft mat. Make sure you are working on a heat-proof surface to avoid damage to your furnishings.

5) Ink up a stamp of your choice with clear embossing ink or pigment ink and while the glue is still hot, impress it into the glue. The ink acts as a release agent, so use plenty of ink. Let the glue cool.

6) Remove the stamp (do not get the glue onto any cushion on your stamp image and don't be tempted to remove the stamp early--glue will stick if it is still too warm). If glue sticks to your stamp, try placing it in the freezer for a few minutes to harden the glue so you can remove the bits that stuck.

7) Adhere the glue medallion to ATC using hot glue or double stick adhesive. Rub on the sentiment decal according to the package directions. If the background is too dark to see the sentiment, use blending solution and dab off and lighten the area you wish to apply the decal. Lighten the area BEFORE you apply the decal, otherwise the blending solution will eat away at the decal.
