A
Lacy Mother’s Day by Sue Lorang
Art Rubber Stamp from
Stampsmith.net
Directions:
1. Stamp the image onto glossy white cardstock. Center the Coluzzle
tag over the image, then using the mat and knife, cut out the tag.
2. Crumple up the cream cardstock, flatten it out and run the ochre
color stamp pad over the cardstock catching the high spots. Wet the
cardstock with a water mister and the color will run a little. Put it
between two pieces of paper and iron it till flat.
3. Cut out 1/4 of the doily, and then position it onto the antiqued
cardstock you just made. When you like the way it looks take an
adhesive to attach it to the cardstock. After it’s dry, cut off the
excess doily material.
4. Position the vellum at an angle on the bottom part of the cardstock
over the tag. Use vellum tape on the back to stick it down.
5. Center the antiqued cardstock onto the gold Bazzill paper and
attach.
6. Adhere the floral brass embellishment at the bottom. |

Instructions:
Stamp the items on white cardstock (4 x 5.25") and emboss.
Stipple inks onto the card. Use a slightly damp paper towel to wipe
off the embossing so it remains very black. You can also use the paper
towel to smooth out the colors on the card.
Moisten your toothbrush and run a line of Gold Rush reinker down the
middle. Use your finger to slide down the bristles and splatter the
cardstock. If you don't like the pattern, you can always smooth out
the mistakes with that damp paper towel.
Using the slightly damp paper towel, dip it into the PearlEx and rub
all over the card until it gets a nice sheen.
With 4 strips of Magic Tape on the back, attach the panel to a 5.5" x
8.5" piece of glossy black cardstock that you've folded in half. |

Negative
Card by Betty McCommon
Art Rubber Stamps from
Stampsmith.net
Directions:
Soot stamping is a fun way to get a negative look. There are lots of
ways to 'soot up' your glossy cardstock but I prefer to use an oil
lamp and turn up the wick to get it smoking. You can also use a
candle with a long wick but get more control using the lamp with the
chimney on. BE CAREFUL, it's easy to burn, keep your cardstock
moving and check it for coverage often. When you get it the way you
want, handle carefully so as not to get fingerprints all over. It's
best to have your cardstock larger than you need.
Then using a DRY stamp, stamp right on the soot. The stamp will pull
the soot away. Make sure your stamp is clean and free of any
glitter, cat hair etc. (that goes for any photo stamp) Sometimes you
need to take some tape to your clean stamp to get everything off.
Clean your stamp, soot sticks a lot!
Then spray your hairspray into the air and run your soot stamped
paper through it a few times to set it. After it's dry, cut to size.
On dark blue cardstock, take Opalite pads right to the paper and
smear it around. Stamp Stampsmith Ornament stamp on left side with
Platinum Planet pad.
Generate computer text on white and vellum cardstock. Assemble as
shown.
