Altered Trading Card by Nicole Leon

Supplies:
Clear Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (TAC, The Angel Company)
Suze Weinberg's Melting Pot
Yellow Bazzill Monochromatic Cardstock
Walnut Ink Distress Ink Pad
Ribbon
Black cardstock (Making Memories)
Slab IV papers
Pure Gold Metallic Palette Hybrid Ink Pad
Copper Penny Palette Metallic Hybrid Ink Pad
TAC India Black Ink Pad (TAC, The Angel Company)
Water spritzer (Dollar Tree Store)
Magazine clipping
Marvy Heat Tool
Xyron 250 (Michael's)
Square Punch
Vintage Travel stamp set (TAC, The Angel Company)
Terrific Tacky Tape
Craft Sheet
Circle cookie cutters
Tweezers
Bowl of cold water

Instructions:
1. Crumple the yellow cardstock and smooth out. Apply distress ink directly to the cardstock, and lightly spritz with water and let side for 5 minute before drying with a towel. Adhere cardstock to black piece of cardstock and set aside.
2. Cut a piece of black cardstock measured 3" x 3" in. and a piece of pattern paper measured 4"x4" in. Crumple the black cardstock and apply Pure Gold and Copper Penny Palette Metallic Hybrid Ink Pads to the cardstock.
3. Tear off pieces of the black cardstock and adhere to pattern paper. Cut out two squares with the square punch. Stamp the script stamp in black ink on the two squares and set aside.
4. Heat 8 oz. of clear Ultra Thick Embossing Powder (UTEE) in the melting pot, and let all of the powder melt before using it.
5. Cut magazine clipping to size for circle cookie cutter and set aside.
6. After the UTEE has melted, using the tweezers dip the two stamped squares into the melted UTEE, and place on craft sheet and allow to cool. Cut off excess UTEE around the edges. Run the piece through the Xyron and adhere the finished pieces to the card.
7. Put the magazine clipping on craft sheet and pour the melted UTEE on magazine clipping, immediately put the circle cookie cutter into the melted UTEE and allow to cool. Remove circle cookie cutter, and put the excess UTEE back into the melting pot for further use.
8. Put the circle piece into a bowl of cold water, and let soak for several minutes. Remove piece from cold water, and using your fingers, rub off the back of the paper, (don't use your nails as it may scratch the image) and the paper will peel off and leave a transfer image of the magazine clipping.
9. Attach the piece to the card.
