DIRECTIONS:
This is a 9 ATC mural. Each card should be able to stand alone and as a
group. Start with a blank sheet of cardstock 7 ½ x 10 ½. Draw or score
lines at 2 ½ x 3 ½. This is where you will cut the cards after you have
finished your art. I used a transparency sheet with markings on it
because I layered my work.
Start with a theme and go for it. Trying to make each of the ATC be able
to stand alone without the others.
I started with a full 8 ½ x 11 c/s of Stampin’ Up Mellow Moss. I spritz it
with water and crinkled. I flattened the sheet and wiped Jim Holtz
Distressed Inks ( vintage photo) over entire cardstock, leaving color on
raised areas.
I stamped Embossing Arts Co. ‘Stately Giraffe’ with Stampin’ Up Craft
chocolate chip ink and embossed with clear embossing powder, on Stampin’
Up Creamy Caramel Cardstock. I stamped background with a retired Stampin’
Up ‘Leopard Skin’ background stamp with versamark. I stamped
elephants with Retired Stampin’ Up ‘Serengeti’ and Tim Holtz Distressed
Inks (weathered wood) and clear embossed. Tore around image and sponged
edges with ink. I wheeled Stampin’ Up ‘Heart of Africa’ Stampin’ Around
wheel with black ink on strip of Stampin’ Up going gray and more mustard
cardstock. Tore edges.
I layered pieces onto background cardstock and placed them using my
transparency template. I used a scrap of textured paper ( source unknown)
and a piece of vinyl window screen. I attached all pieces with double
sided sticky tape.
I stamped words with making magnetic stamp alphabet (express it). The
large words were with River City Rubber Works acrylic alphabets.
I embellished with memory makers square silver brads and some misc. animal
embellishments. I also used a round shipping tags, sponging color on tag
and string to match and sponged edges with Gold Encore and embossed with
gold embossing powder. The letter B was punched out with a
sizzix die cut on Stampin‘ Up Copper metallic cardstock.
I cut sheet into individual ATC, and placed them in a baseball card sleeve
protector.
