Supplies:
Stardream Cardstocks: Gold, Sapphire, Opal, Copper, Silver and Amethyst
All Cardstocks from Yellow Rose Art Stamps

Large Butterfly rubber stamp from A Stamper's Paradise
Small Butterfly rubber stamp from My Heart Stamps For You
Metallic Acrylic Paints (Copper, Opal and Blue)

Embossing Ink Pad
Embossing Tool
Black Embossing Powder
Green Ultra Thick Embossing Powder
Silver Ultra Thick Embossing Powder
Clear Ultra Thick Embossing Powder
Awe (for punching little holes)
Monofilament Thread (Fishing Line)
Brass Barrel Swivels (size 12) (in the fishing tackle dept)
Beads
2 CDs
Pearl Ex or other powdered mica pigments
Awe (or ice pick - to punch tiny holes)

Directions:

Butterflies:
Ink your stamp with embossing ink and emboss with black embossing powder.
Stamp and emboss two of each color: gold, opal and sapphire.
Cut out.
Paint sections of your butterflies. I used copper for the bodies; copper, blue and opal on the wings.
Set aside and let dry.

Run one butterfly of each color through your Xyron machine (or use double stick tape.)
Attach like butterflies together.
Gently bend the butterflies at the body, to make them look more realistic.

For second set of butterflies, use smaller stamp and repeat above

CDs
Tap an embossing ink pad over one side of your CD. You don't want to coat your entire CD as you want the holographic-ness of the CD to show through a little.
Add ultra thick embossing powders. I used a little green and silver.
Heat.
When cool, add Pearl Ex powders, in different colors, to different parts of the CD.
Heat to melt powders into ultra thick embossing powders.
While still warm, add a layer of clear powder.
Heat.
Let cool then repeat on other side.
I also took a piece of gold wire and added it to the center of the CD hole.

CD Triangles (At bottom of each butterfly string)
Heat your CD... with an old pair of scissors. Cut in 4 pieces. THEN cut each of those pieces in half.
Emboss as shown above. Heat your awe and punch one hole in the top of each piece.

Putting it all together
Heat the tip of your awe. Push it through the top of your CD, sides and bottoms (as soon in diagram below.) Heating your awe makes it easy to push through the CD to make your holes.

With your awe, punch two holes in each butterfly ~ one in the head and one in the tail.

Make three string.
String them together in this order.
(1) Triangle CD Piece
(2) Fishing Line
(3) Swivel
(4) Fishing Line
(5) Small Butterfly
(6) Fishing Line
(7) Swivel
(8) Fishing Line
(9) Large Butterfly
(10) Fishing Line
(11) Swivel
(12) Fishing Line
(13) Tie to large CD

Tie a piece of fishing line to the top hole, swivel then more fishing line.
Lastly, add a ring of wire so that you can hang it.

**The purpose of the swivels is so that all of the pieces will spin independently.
