Make the Backing: Start by creating a backing for the pin. I used a doll torso die [Wizard Child Doll Die] and cardstock. Prepare the backing by cutting the torso down to fit the domino. The domino for this project measures 1-1/2 x 3/4. Be careful as you add the pieces to the cardstock as it will bend until you add the long pin. It is the pin back that will support the weight of the materials and keep the entire piece straight. Put the Body Together: Starting with the paper pieces (game card, Trivial Pursuit card, ticket stub, Monopoly money), tear and cut 4 pieces. Arrange the game papers on the domino as you like. I cut a strip of the three of hearts and used the backside of the card around the top of the domino to simulate a neckpiece using the center of the card diamond to accent the neck. Once you are happy with the positioning of the papers, brush Mod Podge on the domino (don’t forget the sides) and lay your papers down one at a time. Brush on additional Mod Podge over top as you lay each paper down (decoupage). Take the three scrabble tiles and glue them to the puzzle piece. Wrap the red wire around the player piece. Glue the brass spinner to the neck of the Queen (top of domino). Glue the puzzle piece to the left of the lower part of the domino and off the edge. Glue the plastic player piece with a glue dot on the bottom and glue on the side touching the domino. Let dry. Glue the decorated domino to the backing. On with Her Head! The Face: Take the Tidily Wink (TW) and stamp the face [Renaissance Art Stamps] using Black StazOn ink. I have found the best way to do this is to ink the part of the image you need, lay the stamp rubber up on your work table, drop a clean TW carefully on the stamp, press lightly down with your finger, pick up the stamp and turn it over (the plastic will not move) and place it on the table. Press down carefully. Lift the stamp and very carefully remove the TW. The issue here is that if the TW moves it can smear the ink. Heat set to dry (careful not to melt the TW). The Crown: Take the goldtone crown (actually a half moon charm) and glue the mini dice onto it with Aleenes Thick Designer glue. Set aside. The Guitar Pick: Take two pieces of music scrapbook paper (needs to be tiny design). Use the guitar pick as your guide and cut around it to get two pieces of paper the same size as the pick. Glue the two pieces onto the pick, one on each side. Stamp the front with a music collage motif [Veneta by Acey Deucy]. Putting it all Together: Glue the poker chip onto the head part of the doll. It should touch the top of the domino. Next take the stamped TW and use mini glue dots on the back, one each behind each eye and mouth (this helps disguise the dots because the TW is transparent). Glue this down on top of the poker chip. Place the crown on the Queen’s head. Glue the narrow end of the guitar pick behind the poker chip, allowing the guitar pick to rise above the Queen’s head. Carefully turn over your piece and attach the pin back with hot glue (use a long one to support the length of the piece.)
