Memento in Paper Bag Frame by Mary Lind Stamps by Innovative Stamp Creations (Sheet Scrapbook Layout Words – SLOW! 306) Prepare a Polaroid emulsion lift print on 140 lb watercolor paper using a vintage family slide image. Stamp scrapbook words using VersaMark on glossy white paper. Heat with heat gun. Rub on inks (Nick Bantock: Vermillion, Cerulean Azure, and Chartreuse Leaf) using a swirling motion. Tear paper around each word. Adhere scrapbook words around Polaroid emulsion. Brush image and scrapbook words with Golden’s Acrylic Glaze in Maroon. Let dry. Adhere work to sheet of Basic Grey Phresh & Phunky paper. Trim with paper trimmer. Spread work with a thin layer of Kato Liquid Polymer Clay and bake according to manufacturer’s directions. Cut a frame out of foam core board with opening sized to fit artwork. Tear a brown paper grocery bag into strips (discard printed portions, glued seams, and handles). Dilute some Elmer’s Glue All with water. Dip the strips of paper in the diluted glue and wrap around foam core board. Cover front, back, and all edges. Allow to dry. Paint with Golden’s Acrylic Glaze in Maroon. Trim a second page of Phresh & Phunky paper into thin strips and glue on front of frame. Brush liquid medium on frame to seal. Allow to dry. Position artwork in frame and adhere to back. Adhere a second sheet of trimmed cardstock to back of frame. |
