Quick & Creative Winter Cards


Bright Winter Snowman by Chriss Grabb

 

Supplies:

White cardstock

Black dye ink

Yellow dye ink

Blue dye ink

Colored pencils

Buttons

All stamps by Hero Arts

Metal ruler

Craft knife

White glue

 

Directions:

1. Stamp snowman 3" inches from right edge of white card in black dye ink. 

2. With metal ruler and craft knife, cut 2" inches away from right side of card and trim around snowman.

3. Randomly stamp snowflakes and circles on inside and outside of card in blue and yellow ink. 
4. Color snowman's scarf, hat and nose with colored pencils.

5. Glue buttons to front of snowman with white glue.

6. Stamp sentiment on lower left with black ink.

Supplies:

Cardstock in Red, White & Green

Snowman Stamp by Cowtown Stamps

Winter Stamp by Stampendous Perfectly Clear

Black Dye Ink Pad

Marvy Markers in Red, Green & Orange

Snowflake Punch by CuttingEdge

Adhesive of your choice

 

Directions:

1. Score and fold white cardstock for a card.

2. Stamp snowman and color on 2½X4 white cardstock.

3. Cut green cardstock slightly larger for layering.

4. Cut red cardstock the same size as the card front.

5. Punch 4 snowflakes from right side of red cardstock.

6. Stamp Winter on the bottom of the red cardstock.

7. Adhere the layers together as shown.
8. Glue the punched out snowflakes in corners by the snowman.


 

Seasonal Birds & Sprays by Linda Wrage

 

Supplies:

 (Colored background)
Stamp sets: Seasonal Birds & Seasonal Sprays from Stampin Up!
Cardstock: off-white, green and SU Real Red
Inkpads: Black
Other: Copic brand alcohol markers, rubber scraps used
for pop-dots.

Directions: Stamp and layer as shown.


Winter Fun for Everyone! by Joan Buchman

Rubber Stamps:
Skating Chicken - Stampa Rosa
Trees and mountains from an All Night Media set

Supplies:
Liquid Appliqué - white
Embossing powder - white
Colored pencils - yellow, blue-green, pink

Instructions:
1. Stamp chicken stamp twice on white scrap paper and emboss with black detail embossing powder. Apply Liquid Appliqué to pompom and edge of caps. Color and cut out.
2. Cut silver paper in shape of pond and glue to white paper.
3. Stamp mountains in background in brown dye ink. Emboss mountain tops with white embossing powder.
4. Stamp trees below mountains, in front of pond. Using embossing ink pen, fill in areas around trees and emboss, to create snow effect.
5. Apply white Liquid Appliqué to edges of pond to simulate snow bank.
6. Place two skating chickens and adhere with foam tape. Using black pen, make swirl marks on “ice.”
7. Mount on blue cardstock.
8. Computer-generate saying and glue at top.


Snowy Card by Wendy Kerr

 

Supplies:
Aspire Petallics Juniper Berry Cardstock (Cut to 8" x 8-1/2" then fold to make a #10 card)
Snowflake image (printed from Dover ClipArt Book)
Glama Natural Marbled Vellum
Blue Sharpie; Ultra Fine Snow Glitter, Dimension Magic (by Plaid) and Double stick tape.

Directions:
Scan image and print onto vellum. Trim.
Color with blue Sharpie marker.
Paint Dimension Magic onto snowflakes and add glitter.
Attach vellum piece to your card with double stick tape.
