Stamp the mask (Stamp Zia) onto medium weight Pewter from Art Emboss with a StazOn inkpad.
Start by outlining the stamped design with a stylus from Mercart. You will need a foam mat under the mask.
(Stylus and refining tool shown above.) This will help when you turn the project over so you can see the design on both sides. Use the Teflon refiner, the deer foot tip from Mercart, and the paper stump from the art supply store to puff out your chosen areas on the backside of the mask.
Next use the ball and cup from Mercart. You will turn to the backside of the mask and use the ball. It goes faster if you do several at a time, then turn to the front and use the cup over the bumps that you made with the ball. This will define the bumps. Keep doing this front and back until you have the area filled.
Use the star wheel and the decorative wheel with horizontal lines in the areas outlining the feathers and the central design.
Cut out the eyes, starting with an Exacto knife and then using the scissors. Trim around the outside of the mask and run the Teflon refiner around the edges to help turn under the sharp edges. Use the spackle or refiller paste to fill in the puffed areas on the back and set aside to dry.
Use the wizard from Spellbinders with the Symbology die, and cut and emboss six sets of designs from the pewter sheet.
To cut you will need the two master plates and the spacer plate. To emboss you will need the2 master plates and the tan embossing mat. Then use the spackle to fill in the backs of the die cut pieces and let them dry. After all the pieces are dry on the back use black acrylic paint, and smear it all over the fronts of the mask and die cuts. Let it dry a bit and then wipe some off of the raised areas with a paper towel.
Use E6000 to attach the pieces that you die cut onto the front of the mask in a pleasing pattern.
Use an 1/8 inch hand held paper to punch holes in the sides of the mask just above and behind the eyes. String with cord. Attach fibers to the cord and tie off. Add a couple large hole beads to the fibers. Now you have a wonderful finished mask!
