Mini Altered Photo Album by Daylene Strickland

Approx. Size 3 ¼” x 4 ¼”

Purchase an inexpensive mini photo album at craft or dollar store. Use a neutral or solid color scrapbooking paper, trim 2 pieces of paper leaving ½” border on 3 sides for front and back covers. Trim remaining pieces of paper for each inside page. Randomly stamp papers with mini morning glory rubber stamp images (gg designs) and three colors of ink. (VersaColor polar blue, lavender and raspberry were used.) Use toothbrush coated with raspberry ink and mist with water to apply splatters. Spray papers with fixative spray to protect. Cut two pieces of lavender cardstock for inside covers.

Use bookbinding glue to apply papers to book. A small brayer is helpful to roll out air bubbles and for best adhesion. (Club Scrap Bookbinding Glue used.) Trim out photo sections of paper as each page is applied. Embellish each photo section with ribbon. Glue on front and back cover pages but not the inside of these pages (lavender pieces). Glue ribbon ties from center of book on both front and back cover. Glue decorative strip of ribbon down edge of covers folding ends over and gluing to inside cover. Attach lavender pieces. Allow book to completely dry between wax paper and heavy books.

Stamp and emboss floral frame (gg designs) with raspberry ink and clear EP. Trim and add dried flowers between two layers of acetate behind it. Stamp and emboss large morning glory (gg designs) in Brilliance pearlescent lavender on lavender cardstock and emboss with clear. Add Crystal Lacquer and clear micro beads. When album is dry, add embellishments and acetate pieces between photo slots.
