Color Wash Background Technique by Susan Chong

This technique could NOT be any easier. All you need to do is take a variety of Color Wash Spray colors and spray them liberally onto glossy or matte cardstock. Voila! A gorgeous background piece to work with!

A simple homemade recipe for Color Wash:
Squeeze approximately 30 drops of StazOn Reinker into a small spray bottle.
Slowly add 91% rubbing alcohol to the ink
Keep testing the color intensity with a small test spray on a scrap of glossy paper
Stop adding the rubbing alcohol when you are satisfied with the color!

Happy Geisha Card

Stamp Geisha image (Lasting Impressions with Panache) onto Color Wash Background paper (glossy cardstock) with Black StazOn Ink. Allow to dry. Color in the flowers and leaves with Twinkling H2O Watercolor Paints. Again, allow to dry. Edge the Geisha piece with Blazing Red StazOn Ink.
Cut piece of origami paper to place underneath the Geisha image piece. Layer onto base card as shown. (Affix layers with double-stick tape or the paper glue of your choice)
Cut a strip of origami paper from your scraps approximately 3/4 inches wide. Cut a strip of Color Wash Background paper approximately 1/2 inches wide. Edge this strip with Blazing Red StazOn Ink. Layer the Color Wash Background strip on top of the origami paper with double-sided tape or glue. Trim to fit corner of card. Affix to card using double-sided tape or glue.
Glue metal coin charm in opposite corner. Glue colorful bead on top of the metal coin charm. Allow to dry completely.
