Angels in the Garden by Becky Chabot

  1. Spray  light colored 8-1/2 x 11” mulberry paper with walnut ink mixed with Pearl Ex pigment #685 Spring Green, let dry.  Stamp leaf images from Hearts In Touch Botanical Sheet #58 using Guadalupe Chalk Pad and StazOn Forest Green inks and cut into four 2” x 11” strips.
  2. Assemble a Fun Frame by Hearts in Touch. Use ThermOWeb super sticky tape (red line) to secure the seams and cover the dimensional frame with decorated mulberry paper.
  3. Apply Twinkling H2Os Sweet Lavender and Mystic Blue to 8-1/2 x 11” white glossy cardstock with a brush in a diagonal crisscross pattern then spray with walnut ink mixed with Pearl Ex pigment powder #685 Spring Green, roll with a sponge while wet and then let dry.
  4. Cut a rectangle of the decorated glossy cardstock 4-1/4” x 6-1/4”, stamp the angel images from the Hearts In Touch Angels Sheet #D01 as shown using StazOn Jet Black ink. Stamp the sentiment from the same Hearts In Touch sheet near the top and centered using Tsukineko VersaMark pad and emboss with gold embossing powder.
  5. Mat the glossy cardstock background onto periwinkle cardstock and adhere to the center of the decorated Fun Frame.
  6. Select a small photo (approximately 2-1/2 x 2”), round the corners and mat with a scrap of the decorated glossy cardstock.  Ink the edges with StazOn Purple ink. Adhere the photo to the stamped background, centered as shown.
  7. Stamp a fern leaf image from the Hearts In Touch Botanical Sheet #58 onto light-colored hand-made paper using Guadalupe Chalk Pad. Cut the leaf out and adhere it to the bottom right corner of the background as shown.  Accent the fern leaf with Ranger’s Glossy Accents. Apply the medium thicker near the center and fan out each leaf.
  8. Using strong white craft glue, adhere fabric flowers in a cluster near the bottom to the left of the photo.
  9. String Halcraft Amethyst glass beads onto 14” beading wire.  String the beads only 10”; leaving 2” empty on each end.
  10. Place the ends of the wire on the backside of the Fun Frame 1” from each end. Using strong white craft glue along each wire and around the edges of the backside of the Fun Frame, adhere a 7-3/4” x 5-3/4” piece of cardstock over the entire surface.
