Using a piece of 6.5 x 25 inch cardstock, accordion fold into five-inch
sections.
Stamp images from the
sheet #D01 “Angels” by
Hearts in Touch onto matte cardstock
in Memories ink. Color lightly with Prismacolor pencils. Then use
Distress Inks by Ranger to grunge up the edges of your images. Add
a little gold Brilliance ink to the edges of the images on top of
the distressed inks. If you get too much on there, use a piece of
sand paper to remove some of the ink until the look is pleasing.
Attach 2 pieces of sky iridescent paper to the front page. Use the
Gothic metal alphabet by EK Success to spell out the word angels.
Attach the picture of the angel and woman playing the pipe organ to
a piece of black paper and trim to 1/8 inch. Then center that on
your page and add Gothic stone corner ornaments by EK Success on the
corners. Flip it over and layout the rest of the pictures and
sayings as shown. Test out your embellishments until you find a
look that pleases you.
On the first page, I used eyelets, broken
earring dangles, a heart charm, fibers, a die cuts made with pewter and the Symbology
dies from Spellbinders, antiqued with black acrylic paint.
On the third page, cut a slit in the hands of the angel and insert a
rose die cut from Spellbinders.
The
next page has fleur-de-lis die cuts and a large filigree charm, cut
in half and topped off with a pearl button.
The last page has fibers, 1 sunflower eyelet, 1 clock hand and a die
cut.
Take a second piece (6.5 x 25 inch) of cardstock and attach it to
the back of the last page. Score and fold. Make another score line
about 1/2 inch from the first and fold that. Score 5 inches from
there and another a half inch away, two more times. On the
last piece, trim to three and a half inches.
Find the center and mark it lightly with a pencil. Mark one inch
from the edge on each side and trim from the center to your mark.
This will give you an envelope flap.
Punch holes and attach eyelets to sew your button through. Before
you sew on your button, mark with pencil through the eyelets to the
back cover. Punch a hole or two if you prefer and string some fiber
through to tie the folio shut.
Decorate your cover with a face stamp from sheet #D11 “Da Vinci
Women” and another cherub stamped on the matte card stock and
trimmed around the edges with decorative scissors. |
