Snowflakes Hanging Domino Ornament by Leigh Snaith-Brunton

Supplies:
Standard white dominoes
Holiday Quad Cube stamp by Stampendous (snowflake side)
Brilliance Pigment ink pads - Twilight and Peacock
Stampendous snowflake stickers
Ancient Page coal black dye ink
Crystal beads
Round blue cats eye beads
Oval green cats eye beads
Silver jump ring
Silver eye screws
Silver charm
Silver cord
Silver metallic paint pen - broad point
Judikins Diamond Glaze
Packing tape
Heat tool/embossing tool
Dremel and small drill bit
Vice/clamp

Directions:
Start this project with a new shiny domino. There's no need to pre-treat the surface of the domino in any way. Bleached or sanded dominoes will work just as well. Drill a hole in both ends of the domino just deep enough to screw in eye screws.

SAFETY TIP: To drill the holes set the domino in a vice/clamp to protect your fingers.

Create a 'handle' for the domino by folding a small piece of packing sticky tape together and then sticking both ends to the front of the domino that has the dots.

Using the handle, pounce the domino up and down on the tri colour Brilliance ink pad to apply a good layer of ink. Then move the domino around, side to side and backwards and forwards to blend the lines created by the tri-ink pad. Stop once there's a seamless blending of the 3 colours and heat set.

Ink up the snowflake image with coal black dye ink and press the domino to the stamp then heat set.

Edge and colour the sides of the domino with a silver metallic paint pen. Adhere the snowflake stickers and seal the entire domino with Diamond Glaze.

Amethyst Ornament
Screw the eye screws into the domino, add a bit of glue if you think the holes are slightly too big. Attach the large snowflake charm to one end with a jump ring. Loop silver thread through the top eye screw and secure with a knot.

Peacock Ornament
Thread a length of silver cord through the pendant hole and add beads on both sides of the domino. Secure the cord with a knot.
