Pressing Wild & Other Flowers for Rubber Stamping and Crafting
Items Needed:
Kitchen Plates (ceramic, glass, etc)
Paper Towels
Microwave
FLOWERS!
Getting Started:
Find your wildflowers! Ones that aren't "thick" work best, however I have pressed
roses and bluebonnets this way with success. They just take a little longer to "dry".
Place a plate on your cabinet.
Add a paper towel to the top.
Add your flower (or flowers if using small ones.)
Add another paper towel on top of that.
Add another plate on top of your last paper towel.
Put in the microwave and heat for 15-30 seconds.
Check to see if they are dry. If not re-microwave them at 15-30 second increments
until they are dry.
If you paper towels are too damp, you can replace then with dry ones before re-microwaving.
Once done use them on bookmarks, for embellishments on your cards, place between sheets of glass and hang on the wall...
use your imagination!
