Blue and White Tiles With UTEE by Bernardine Farmer

1. UTEE is ultra thick embossing powder. Cut chipboard to desired size.

2. Using a clear embossing stamp pad such as VersaMark, cover the chipboard. Sprinkle with clear UTEE. Place chipboard on top of a glass and emboss. (See Picture 1)
 This allows the embossing to cover the edges too. This step should be repeated 3 or 4 more times, waiting 45 seconds between coats, to give you a smooth glossy surface. If the chipboard curls, put it under a book to flatten it out.

3. Ink your image such as the tulips from Santa Rosa Stamp Co., with Brilliance Mediterranean Blue stamp pad. Carefully place over the tile and stamp. The surface is slippery so do not slide the stamp around.

4. Carefully reheat your tile so that the image sinks into the UTEE. The image will move and expand slightly. Keep your embossing gun moving to prevent too much blurring. Picture 2
 shows first image has been overheated and image has moved too much, but second image is fine. Mount on card as desired.

Tiles With Color

1. To give your tile color, stamp your image first, such as Yvonne Albritton’s teacup with Brilliance Mediterranean Blue.

2. Color your image with watercolors of your choice and even add gold pen around the edges.

3. Repeat step #2 in Blue and White Tiles with the UTEE until you have a glossy tile to use on a card.
